  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Current EV owners…are you staying BEV or switching to Harvester?

That area is a 25 minute drive from me. Love the craft breweries that have sprung up in Houston/Canonsburg PA area.

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

Was thinking along the same lines. I have sent them an email, fingers crossed! UPDATE! I need to brush up on my French... I completely missed États-Unis as an option in their country drop down menu... 🤦‍♂️ Got the cover ordered!

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

I found them this week! I really like their covers but I cannot see where they ship to the US any longer though :( my guess is the ongoing trade/tariff concerns have made them pause shipment to the US. If you know of a third party supplier that is shipping them stateside feel free to provide...

Thankfully the southwestern portion of PA isn't as impacted like Erie, Butler and Beaver counties are. I'm in the area of Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties. We get snow but we tend to escape the lake affect snow bands.

On the southwestern side of the state we have high winds and sporadic rain... Snow incoming on Tuesday though!

Current prototypes show the fuel door opening like a normal ICE fuel door.

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

I will ask a question for those that have EVs and, store and charge them outside. How/what do you do to prevent precipitation from potentially freezing in the charging port?

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

Thought I’d show off the end result of installed the level 2 EVSE. I wish this panels main feed was located on the right side of the panel but that’s unfortunately not the case. Really makes cable management a royal pain since all the expansion knock outs are on the right and the only room to...

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

The wiring really isn't difficult, I get why most folks have trepidation about tackling such a project, electricity can bite! In my younger years I came close to burning a vehicle down by wiring in a CB radio into the 12 volt system backwards... it let out quite a bit of the magic smoke and...

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

I get this point of view, but in this case it was more driver stubbornness that lead to the moment of uncertainty. This incident would be akin to me getting off the interstate and driving through the interior of WV without first stopping to get gas, just because I want to make it to an area I'm...

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

This morning we made sure to download all the major public charger apps and add payment methods. Setup the GM apps charging section to enable plug and charge at Tesla as Ionna chargers. Ordered the adapters for fast charging and Tesla destination chargers through A2Z (GM adapters are crazy...

Color is called galaxy gray metallic but it’s certainly has a purplish hue like lavender. Looks gray in low light and really shows its purple tones in direct sunlight.

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

I made a post on the off-topic thread about looking for a new car for my wife and that we were looking to purchase an EV as it made the most sense for her work/commute. Well we did it! Brought home a Galaxy Grey Metallic 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV LT1 with the comfort package, last night. Got it...

    Off-topic stuff…

No deal yet... but cross shopping dealers to find the best deal reminds me of why I hate car buying. Some list one price with discount and then get real cagey when you attempt to run numbers with discount applied... A lot weren't upfront with the loan term lengths when they provided a monthly...

    Financing Options

Most of the manufacturers have their own lending arm... typically the really low interest rates come from the manufactures lending arm and not banks or credit unions. Sometimes certain incentives and discounts are tied to using the manufactures lending arm to qualify for them. Good news is that...

    Financing Options

I agree it's optimistic thinking! But it's not out of the realm of possibility. They have a lot of reservations currently sure, but that's with a really low refundable deposit of $100. When the order books finally open how many will actually convert their reservations into an actual vehicle? The...

    Financing Options

🤣 They need that sweet sweet interest to leverage more money elsewhere! It's wishful thinking but a 0% or 0.9% for 60 to 72 months would be a nice surprise for those that place orders for the "launch editions" or early adopters within the first model year... I am also interested in what...

Yes, that would affect the tongue weight. Anything behind the rear axle and especially behind the hitch will negatively affect payload and tongue weight capacities.

Wife's 2020 Ford Edge is beginning to exhibit symptoms of transmission/torque converter failure and power transfer unit failure... Has 155,000+ miles on it currently. Looks like we will be making the plunge into the world of EVs before I can order a Scout! Looking at the Blazer and Equinox EVs...

    Initial Production Release

Not sure the small power tools market is a good idea to enter. A partnership with an existing brand is a better idea and even then I can't see the marketing effort bearing much if any fruit on the sales side.
