  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Warranty work with the Scout?

Some of us here are could not be happier about the VW / Rivian Joint Venture. Scout could not have chosen a better partner! Despite all of your negative energy around bashing Rivian (just scrolling through your posts seems to demonstrate your axe has been ground down to a stubby little nub), I'm...

Even if I just looked at those, they would get dirty! LOL

They run limbs straight into those expensive LEDs!

    Jeep Recon

The KO3's will be good summer and shoulder season tires for sure. Snow and ice are another story entirely. I just swapped out my A/T's for my winter wheels with Nokian Hakkas and they are NIGHT and DAY better than any A/T I have ever run in the winter. Like - not even comparable in terms of...

Those would last exactly 1 day (looking like that) with my crew!

    Financing Options

There is no doubt there will be financing options, but like the range extender, details are.... TBD https://support.scoutmotors.com/en/articles/10034738-what-financing-options-will-be-available

Yes! That was exactly why I asked. But maybe we're overthinking it and its a clothesline for camping.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The small squirkle steering wheel and weird straps holding the dash up really threw me for a loop. Completely unsure of the high-tension line or cable running from the hood to the rack, what purpose does that serve?

I don't think I can unsee it. Especially the interior! HELP!

Oh. Its real? My LORD, I didn't even bother reading anything after I saw it. Just assumed it was AI generated in 20 seconds. So there you go! 🫣

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

OOOFfffff - Looks like an FJ had an affair with a Cybertruck or Hummer that was the love child of a Pontiac Aztec and a 4X4 Vega. That belt line is horrific too. The windows would make it feel like you were sitting on a low bench inside a Kazakhstani prison cell.

    Plug in hybrid.

True - and charging your battery to store it for months is a complete edge case and not something that most people ever need to consider. For "Daily Driving" Rivian suggests a 70% SOC. I have no problem going to 100% when I will be driving for 4+ hours. I charged to 100% before departing my...

    Software Features

In my case, and based on my settings, if I get out of my truck to work on your ranch and have already adjusted mirrors, drive modes and cameras, then I leave the vehicle (or, turn it OFF in your case) my truck can retain whatever settings I had used last. The truck is still sitting there on the...

    A Gift From Scout Motors

While you guys are all futzing around with emails, I just got my gift! Without giving away too much (don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone), the packaging says "FRAGILE".

    Software Features

What happens when your truck "shuts itself off" that is the hassle? What do you mean by having to reset the mirrors and cameras everytime you enter? Isn't your profile able to take care of all of that, and wouldn't your profile serve as the default if you were last to exit and first to re-enter...

    Purpose built mountain bike racks

I was thinking more along the lines of the Yakima pad and Rivian... Not dissimilar from what Volvo did with their Ski box (just slapped a logo on the box to match the logo on the volvo) and probably charge a lot more for it! Def not needed but some people love to buy matching accessories for...

    Purpose built mountain bike racks

Ditto, yep. The purpose would be just for Scout to sell something that would (potentially) be better integrated to the vehicle - yes for Scout to make a few bucks and make accessory sales easy. I had a 1-Up before I got my Rivian and still run it to this day for both MTB's and Fat Bikes.
