  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Rivian Rs2 vs Scout Traveler

Yeah-I had them both figured out and OF is a favorite phrase of mine 😂

How would you build your Scout?

That color helps me to like silver. That’s the one color car we haven’t ever owned.

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

I feel the same way. I keep saying creamy teal blue but same similar idea

    List Price

What is it with new members this weekend being so aggressive. For goodness sake, MANY people on here have suggested a smaller version because the original scouts they love WERE smaller. Not an unreasonable request. I don’t think it really about cost-it’s about ideal use group and flexibility

    List Price

Assumption might be, based on other manufacturers optioned prices it will be a bit over $90K FULLY loaded. Again-not solid-just educated guessing

    What’s your hobby

Cool. No judgement. Had a boss that played D&D in a previous life and he painted cast miniatures-like the 1/64-needed a magnifying glass to see to paint with fine hair brushes. Anyway he showed me in confidence once and was totally embarrassed. I, on the other hand was blown away and thought it...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. My family’s scout had that pattern in the faux wood. It was cool back then. I think a solid color like you suggest would be a nice modern touch.

How would you build your Scout?

I’m sure we all did but not on day 1-2? I poke at @cyure all the time in jest but I’ve also DM’d with here on here on discussions about PBY, etc.. and we have similar personalities and we can do that, but take the time to come in a bit softer before you insult people-was just done in bad taste...

How would you build your Scout?

100% agree. It’s one thing to disagree. It’s one thing to debate but to come on here and insult anyone-let alone a member who’s heavily engaged and friendly to everyone is way out of bounds. Good luck getting any report from members on here with comments like this.

    Bit harsh don’t you think?

    Rivian Rs2 vs Scout Traveler

Gotcha. Need to post pics of your Scout

How would you build your Scout?

The new Scouts are being built to handle off road. With that capability why wouldn’t you see people wanting that option? I like looks but gravel roads and fields will be the hardest off-road I personally do so need from my point of view 😂

    Rivian Rs2 vs Scout Traveler

I know what OG means but I don’t understand what you mean by being an OG scout? You mean you did or do have an original Scout or you restored/mod’d a Scout. Just trying to understand the point you’re making with that phrase because as noted just makes me unable to understand. Thanks

Scout Pricing and State Rebate Programs

I personally think you are way off on that number. I think start of production is for retail production and the engineering and demo models will be prior so I suspect there will be 20K delivered to buyers buy end of year 2027. May be limited production but I can’t imagine SM continually stating...

    Ability to Fit a Snowplow

Yup. It’s a pic of the presentation and was surely CGI’d but here it is
