  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I have decided that I'm going to make a big change. My Grande Cherokar has 99k miles on it and is Mopar extended warrantied until January 2027 or 125k miles whichever comes first, and I haven't used my car hauler for any far away Jeep runs in literally 13 months. -My original plan when...

    Haha good memories though, right!

Body Damage - Easy or Hard and Expensive

I think* I'm going to be more careful, and not* do as much dumb stuff with my Scout. *The use of applicable terms does not constitute fact or contractual obligation. Terms subject to change at any time, with or without notice.

Body Damage - Easy or Hard and Expensive

All I know about body damage is from a t-shirt someone gave me when I was younger and big into snow skiing. "Chicks Dig Body Damage" Other than that, I notably don't have a single straight body panel on my old Wrangler. "She's ugly, but she gets it done".

What goodies have you gotten from a dealer/manufacturer after purchasing a car

The only time I've ever gotten anything interesting was when I purchased a car from an exotics dealer in Scottsdale. First off, walking around in their showroom was like being at Barrett-Jackson. It was filled with Ferraris, Lambos, RRs, Bentleys, a couple of MB SLR McLarens, a long row of...

    Drive-Inn Theater Mode

I sympathize! We have a drive in here in the Phoenix metro area and I take my family there for a film once a year or so. The first time I took my Grand Cherokee, I was all excited to open the lift gate, throw some blankets and cushions and pillows in the cargo area, and lay down in there with...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

We have Waymo driverless "taxi" all over the place in Phoenix metro area. I've had several rides. Generally speaking I have found it to be a pretty awesome alternative to Uber for these reasons: 1) The cars are exclusively Jaguar I-PACE BEV SUVs so they are very nice vehicles and very well...

Poll: What Tires Do You Want To See On Your Scout?

Yeah I was bummed as well. Forced me to replace all four tires at once instead of just one or two at a time as needed and I decided to finally move up to 37s which then also required new wheels.

Poll: What Tires Do You Want To See On Your Scout?

I have not actually ridden with any of my buddies in their KO3 equipped vehicles. We did have one who was an early adopter of those tires and he praised their on road manners in his posts on our club forum.

Poll: What Tires Do You Want To See On Your Scout?

My Grand Cherokee came with Wrangler Duratracs. They were great highway tires and I got about 50k miles out of them, but not off road tires by any stretch. I replaced them with Nitto Ridge Grapplers, which I loved. They were much stickier than I expected, with a very grippy rubber compound...

Loading Mode (Air Suspension Feature Request)

My Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has buttons on the center console for this, with 5 height settings, but the caveat is that the air suspension will not adjust while any doors are open (including the rear liftgate), ostensibly to prevent injury? Not sure how injury could occur but whatever. I mostly...

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

Story time re multiple posts about using jerry cans to add range to a Harvester equipped vehicle. My Wrangler has a 20 gal tank and gets 11mpg on it's best day, normally more like 8mpg when overlanding and probably 2 mpg when rock crawling. I had a custom rear bumper and swing out tire carrier...

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

Well, I wondered when I would recognize someone's else's screen name from the AZ VJC in here. Welcome @Demlockian. No way there's two Demlockians out there.

What my car’s built-in solar panels did for me today

This caught my attention. I had never considered that I could add batteries and an inverter to go "off grid" during peak hours. Now I am going to have to do some research on what that would cost. Thanks!

What my car’s built-in solar panels did for me today

Is is crazy, but it is only from 4-7pm M-F and the tradeoff is extremely cheap electricity at all other times. So if you can structure your household to use minimal electricity for 3 hours per day 5 days a week, you can save some money. It's tough since that is the hottest time of day and...

What my car’s built-in solar panels did for me today

Sounds like you're with APS and on the same plan I'm on with 4-7pm being peak demand. Tangent but your comment just made me chuckle. Last night I had to be the nitpickey husband because I "caught" my wife overriding our HVAC automation which supercools until 3:59pm allowing the HVAC to remain...

What my car’s built-in solar panels did for me today

I like it. My coworkers dd Fisker Ocean has the solar roof which purportedly adds up to 2,000 miles of range per year here in AZ if the vehicle is parked outside all day. That's about 8 miles per work day. That's not nothing.

Make a trail and more comfortable interior options.

This is all very interesting. My '17 Grand Cherokee Hemi Trailhawk has adjustable height air suspension. There is an entry/exit mode which is the lowest setting, and I think 3 or 4 other settings up to Off Road II which is max ride height. It automatically lowers itself to entry/exit when...

What will you typical cargo look like in your Scout?

Occasionally - golf clubs, camp chairs, large dog crate. Permanent cargo - portable compressor if there's not one baked into the vehicle, tire plug kit, small tool bag.

What? I can't hear you. LOL
