  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

It seems like a winner for many use cases. If it wasn't successful, Toyota would not be thinking about bringing their competitor to market.

Thank you for the compliment on the Comanche. I get it. Two different use cases. My issue is the overall size and that the GMC pictured does appear to be nothing more than a daily driver.

At least give consumers the option. The maverick comes close, but the bed is small. I do hope that Slate finds success. Modern tacomas, Colorados, canyons, are all the size of 1990s full size trucks. I have used that Comanche so many times for hauling. It’s so easy to maneuver and actually...

Completely agree. I hauled a recliner, another large living room style arm chair and an ottoman with the tailgate closed earlier that morning. No, problem and easy to get in and out. That’s probably more than that GMC has ever had in the bed. Sorry, that was a low blow.

Thank you! No rust was key. I’m the second owner. I even have the window sticker. The paint is getting tired, so that will have to be addressed sometime. But, it’s had a lot of work done and it’s been very fun.

I took this picture today. I should have taken it completely from the side. The Comanche is mine. The behemoth behind it is a GMC 2500. Both are stock height. I know the Jeep is a compact truck, but wow what a difference. Look how much taller the grill is as well as the tires. The tires...

All great and a shout out to Charleston Green. It is nearly black in person.

Decontent a vehicle and call it tech forward and minimalist. Sounds familiar.

I would like it just for keeping the air pressure optimized all the time no matter the temperature. My BMW gives real time data on the optimal air pressure based on temperature etc. I am always thinking how cool it would be if it had central/automatic tire inflation and deflation.

I have seen a truck doing that around Charleston.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

I don't disagree at all. On SUVs in the 80s and 90s there used to be warning stickers on the sunvisors about the handling characteristics being different from a car. One thing that really helps an EV is the battery being mounted low and somewhat evenly. It makes a substantial difference when...

I’m going to change my setting up from 80% to 95%. I almost exclusively charge on a level 2 EVSE at work.

    Charging while driving…Wild, irresponsible speculation...

I had a near anxiety attack at the one in SC. Way too many people.

It's downright soupy here in Charleston right now. 90s most days and humidity over 80%. It also makes it feel colder in the winter. 50 degrees with high humidity is not nice either.

I do not know how CLAR could be modified to accept body on frame. It is unibody.
