  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I guess I hadn’t thought of that issue because I assumed it was some sort of direct communication like Bluetooth when near the vehicle. That’s what I get for assuming.

    Rivian Tire Swap Function

Ahh yes, very true. I often underestimate the creative ways we find to mess things up.

    Rivian Tire Swap Function

Back to the original topic: it would absolutely be amazing if Scout incorporated the ability to update your tire size in the vehicle, on your own, as soon as you install a different set of tires. Someone with the smaller optioned tires may find in the future they want to add 35s…someone with...

Did I miss a memo? I thought these were to be body-on-frame.

    Offroad Navigation Integration for Scouts

I agree. For me right now, CarPlay and OnX has been working great. Even without any service as I often find myself. I find that if I load the geographical area in OnX before losing service, I’m golden.

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

This right here…that’s the thing. If Scout can work hard to produce a quality and reliable product, well then a lot of these service concerns and hassles could be a non-issue. I know nothing is perfect and service visits will happen, but SM has an opportunity here to get it right and keep...

I hope that you’re wrong too, but sadly I don’t believe that you are.

Scout Motors Needs to Rethink “Local” Service. Don't do the Tesla model.

I am fully in agreement with you here. Well said. This would be a game-changer for me. Especially because I’m certain I will easily be 250 to 350 miles from a SM service center even when they finally arrive to my region.

    Great little vehicle

I feel like we’re headed toward Scooter here.

    Don’t be shy, say hi!

Thank you! Much appreciated. :) I just have a different mindset - I love and appreciate nearly all vehicles (I’ll admit I’d still give the Pontiac Aztek designers the corporate eyebrow though) big and small for what they are. I have always loved the old Scouts (and gen 1 Broncos for that...

    Good point. I agree.

    Don’t be shy, say hi!

I am definitely shy, but still followed instructions and said hi! :) I don’t do the social media thing either. I really don’t fit in here and mostly lurk, but these vehicles spark my interest and I’d love to have one someday, so here I am. (y)

:ROFLMAO: I laughed far too hard at this. I needed that. Thanks. (y)

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I knew you wouldn’t disappoint. :ROFLMAO:

I’d love for ACC to be standard. I use it a lot.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Thank you for this information! I’ve never reserved a vehicle before. Heck, I’ve never even configured and ordered a vehicle before. Thanks for sharing your experience, very helpful.

    Massaging Seats

Sounds nice, but the price of admission would drive me away. Even the current Scout Motors base pricing targets are above my budget.
