  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I love my Tesla key through my phone app, one less thing to carry around and as long as I have my phone I can drive it. I did enable a pin on the touchscreen as well but not losing keys or having them stolen is incredible. I totally get your point also regarding not being able to get...

South Carolina Scouts! Your voice is heard: Direct sales bill gets a hearing on Wednesday!

Yeah when they first came out, orders were so delayed it was that or wait a year or more at least. Dealers drove the floor models to Costco and you were lucky to see them. Wild times lol

South Carolina Scouts! Your voice is heard: Direct sales bill gets a hearing on Wednesday!

Yes. They didn’t list it online for that much but then you go to the dealer and… 1. No test drive 2. Required an appointment 3. Cardboard taped to front windshield showing how much the ADM was. I looked at a Badlands in Area 51, 4 door, marine grade vinyl seats. $30k ADM. turned around and...

South Carolina Scouts! Your voice is heard: Direct sales bill gets a hearing on Wednesday!

I remember back in the day when they went for $30k ADM

    solid state battery option

Yeah that’s no good I agree. Need quality
  6. OH1984

    solid state battery option

Agreed, hopefully moving in this direction. Not only for national security but to give Americans more job opportunities it would certainly be beneficial.

    solid state battery option

This would be great, would be even better if SM made engines and batteries in the US for a complete made in America build. Maybe one day manufacturing can come back like that.

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

I’ve actually been considering glass over cabana lately because road noise on highway can be obnoxious. While I do enjoy the open air feel and breeze, we also often get snow here so something I will have to consider.

    solid state battery option

Considering they’re sourcing batteries from a company in Canada and engines from Mexico and not actually making either, not sure they would be distracted in building the scout by using solid state if other vendors already have them produced to use by 2028.

    Special/First Edition Scouts

They were beadlock capable. So the black diamond had skid plates and semi off road. The Sasquatch package cost more depending on trim level, and the upgraded hoss 3.0 which came on the wild track also had 35” tires but fox racing shocks, this is what I had. Tbh I don’t plan to rock crawl my...

    solid state battery option

Yes multiple credible articles about a couple different companies offering Solid state by end of next year at scale. Was wondering the same thing if it’ll be an option by 28 etc. the technology sounds promising if they can deliver. At any rate may lower cost of the present alternatives.

    Special/First Edition Scouts

I think hood scoops should only be functional or non existent

    Special/First Edition Scouts

Sort of I get what you are saying, 3 trims with two power train options. Hopefully just two and not 1-4 motor options.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Follow the money. I’d not be surprised if NADA and coalition of dealers against DTC had anything to do with encouraging action over muddy rain water. If chemicals were spilling or serious damage but $1M is wild.

    Special/First Edition Scouts

Hopefully mid trim is around 55-60 and top tier 60-65 and not 100 etc. Would like interior material options as well as ability to add items without forcing a massive trim jump. I agree 3 trims is much better than 6.

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

Definitely prefer the fitted performance hats like under armor material the very best, like a smooth mesh for hot days and still covers for warmth. I did text my significant other the link and say some people might really enjoy the flag, mug, shackett, travel mug, hat, for around the holidays 😆

    Harvester towing

Understood. Yeah I have no knowledge on how much tow limits range etc. maybe battery tech will be much improved by 2028. I hope you do find something to meet your needs whatever it may be.

    Harvester towing

I believe the Scout Terra is 10k lbs with the full EV version. Will have to see final specs but that’s a nice truck and charging infrastructure will hopefully be much better in 2-3 years. Idk if that’s what you are looking for but looks like a beautiful truck. The Traveler is 7k tow with EV.

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

My 2023 Ford Bronco was technically my dream car. I recently made the decision to financially sacrifice for a personal family member that needed it, and trade in for a used Tesla as well as sell my motorcycle. I also bought the Bronco used and not from my factory order because of all the delays...

    Special/First Edition Scouts

That does make sense. I can’t wait to configure and build. I have two basic builds in mine, both involve bench seat, cabana, premium stereo. Need 2-3 years to get where I want to be financially but definitely the closer to $50-60 the better.
