I never noticed until this article that the top part of the “grill” is more or less an air dam. Kind of a cool detail.

Telo is claiming 8k lbs towing capacity.
For the vehicle configuration, I believe they'll be able to make that happen. The 40 mph Davis Dam test would draw down the 107 kWh battery from full to about 75% in the 11 miles of the test. Or to 64% at 55 mph. Not including losses due to the front square footage of the trailer.
I know some people are worried about the looks. That doesn't bother me. The only thing I would change is that I would like prefer a longer bed. As long as the safety tests show decent performance.

The issue is a 7k-8k lbs trailer can be long. And the short wheel base of the Telo means a long trailer of any appreciable mass can push a short tow vehicle around. They'll have to demonstrate 0 degrees of understeer under lateral acceleration up to 0.3g. I don't have the spec in front of me, so I can't look up the standard trailer length used for that test. And without knowing various suspension and steering specs of the Telo, I can't guess how much understeer it'll experience.
That's a good point. PG&E does have those plans and we did look into them a couple years ago but they didn't pencil out for our situation however might be worth revisiting that math now that our charge patterns have changed.
They need to do this and leave Scout alone. Go make their own with Ford.
Why the F would VW pursue this. They are cutting costs every where, cutting models and VWAG freaking owns Scout so now they are going to double up on a product line. Big Scout can and apologies now but what a stupid idea. What VW needs to do is bring back the VW rabbit/cabrio and own a segment. Every girl who was cool in HS had a cabrio and every guy wanted to date said girl. Take the Golf, chop the top and develop a version men and women both like and Every HS kid begs to have at age 16. That’s how you redefine image. Leave the trucks to Scout, Toyota and the American big 3

Let them. They will learn, it will fail quickly all they need is to partner woth the Recall King as they call Ford at NHTSA.
Maybe a little high but not too far off. Average is now $50K so I’d call it $38,242.37.
Interesting article though it goes against the Ford partnership from @cyure ’s earlier article. For overseas, I could see this idea having merit

While I can love the looks of a 2 seater - they are a pretty niche market.
As for the Telo towing 8k. As already mentioned, short wheel bases and towing don't play well together. I am sure it can pull it - but pulling and safe towing are 2 different things.
