Scout Color Poll #1

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I keep going back and forth on what color I want and get excited every time Scout repaints the prototypes! Here are the 6 I'm excited about currently. While I don't want a Slate (more dinky than I'd like), their configurator tool just made me more and more eager to be able to configure my Terra.

I'm a fan of the Frosty Blue on the Terra-well done!

Agree. The lighter and midtones just appeal more than the darker do to the slab body sides
Yes! I feel like in the darker colors you lose all the definition of the lines that make the design so beautiful. I usually gravitate toward darker colors on my vehicles, but I think I'd be doing the Scout design team a disservice if I choose something dark. I want to show off their work!

I’m putting this here. Seemed like as good a place as any.

So the two roof colors we have seen so far have been dark, the dark grey and the black.

When you look at the Traveler there’s a black trim piece that goes around the car. On the doors the window frames are black so it all lines up and the spoiler on the back, the top half is grey, the bottom part is black where the lights is.

Here’s a couple Nats pictures that show what I am talking about.

There’s been talk of a light colored roof, potentially white. What is that going to look like? Will the top part of that spoiler be white and the bottom black?

Let’s say you got a PBY Scout with a white roof is it going to essentially have a black demarcation line around the whole Traveler that separates yellow from the white? I’m not so sure how that would look. Hmmm…

I don't know that I've ever really noticed other than the black roof. In the first pic it's almost bronze which looks pretty rad (even with the black piece below). Now I'm thinking about roof color options! Body match, black, white, gray, bronze...it would be awesome to have choices.

I keep thinking black because it will match the trim pieces and I don’t think I want a black trim piece between the body color and roof color but until I see it it’s hard to picture in my head.

I pointed it out to my husband when we were in Chicago. Unless you are really looking, it just looks like the roof, but it’s a trim piece and then the roof.

I think it might depend on the roof/body color combo (in addition to personal preference). Like for me, white roof + black band + Tahitian Red body seems like it would work, but to your point white roof + black band + PBY might look odd.

That's where the configurator/visualizer is going to be important! :D

99% sure it will. That the piece (the black line) that they are likely using as the mask line when the paint the roof. I guess if that material comes in a white color it could work but then more inventory to manage. I suspect the black line is there to stay. That said I like the gun metal so hoping I love a body color that works with gun metal gray

A bronze colored roof would be epic and haven’t seen a manufacturer do that before. With the Tahitian or even a black or dark blue color a bronze roof would look pretty good

This is a nice looking Scout and I really like the color on these wheels. Love the crème brûlée top. What do we think this color is? Army green? Something else?

I also really like how the stripe goes from marker light to marker light and incorporates them.
