'Electrall' absolutely needs to part of the branding portfolio. Hopefully its locked up already.
Meanwhile, my box on the board says EREV production mid-2028 for MY29, then BEV production mid-2029 for MY30.

I tried by posting how I’m framing my gift but if you want more PBY content let me work on that!OK so now we know we don’t know anything. I come here to SM to avoid anxiety about our country going to hell in a hand basket and now the same thing is happening here. Let’s find positive stuff to talk about. WHOOOOO-SAAAAAAA!
@cyure bring up something about PBY-don’t care what-let’s just kill this topic and move on, it takes the joy out of coming to the forum
Fingers crossed that I’m wrong. So you really think the Terra BEV will be 2030? I’d guess mid 2029 at the absolute latest
Now I had to look to check myself. I joined Nov 16, 2022Yep. I just checked my profile and my join date shows:
"Joined Dec 21, 2022" was lurking around before that.
I thought we were about the same time. Now I had to look to check myself. I joined Nov 16, 2022

The current EV products are superior in many ways. What’s unconscionable is the propaganda the oil companies put out denigrating them. Show me an anti EV campaign and I will show you the money trail leading back to big oil.I purchased an EV yesterday (ok, only a golf cart). Why? AC motor has more speed and torque than gas. AC motor has less maintenance than gas. AC motor is quieter than gas. Simply put - even with current battery tech - electric golf cart is better than gas in most ways (charging is slower than adding gas - which IS an issue with fleet use yet).
Laws forcing people into EV's helped with some early adoption - but created a LOT of resentment. Making a superior product is the ultimate solution for adoption. We are not quite there, but every month, every year, we are getting closer and closer. Right now, we are only there for the for a majority of people the majority of time.
Sadly SO true. And nearly everyone who owns an EV says they’ll never go back but that’s how propaganda works. Excessively spending filed under Marketing. The current EV products are superior in many ways. What’s unconscionable is the propaganda the oil companies put out denigrating them. Not only dealerships, but around my small city there are so many businesses supported by ICE vehicles... gas stations, auto parts stores, oil change shops, muffler shops, radiator shops, transmission shops. And larger manufacturers...Borg-Warner, US Engine Valve. There are some that will crossover to EVs...tire shops, custom wheels, body shops, car washes, etc. However, many of those listed above are in multiples within a small radius. Obviously, it is big business no matter where you are. Imagine, if somehow, ICE vehicles just disappeared instantaneously. What would your hometown businesses look like?Oh, it leads a few directions. Legacy western auto manufacturers are also probably fueling it - as they are behind the curve on EV's. Dealer's really don't want EV's either, presumably less revenue on repairs and maintenance.
Right, but imagine what happened when people stopped riding on horseback to the saloon. They didn't just disappear all at once, and a lot of other new businesses popped up.Imagine, if somehow, ICE vehicles just disappeared instantaneously. What would your hometown businesses look like?
I don't think I've ever seen data on this kind of thing, but I wonder if the number of horses employed for transportation was higher, even or lower than the number of vehicles we have per capita today. Like, we've had discussions on this forum about how a 'new car' is starting to get beyond the means of an average American. Of course, used cars exist and you can probably find one that will get you from A to B for only a few thousand dollars. But, how much would it have cost an 1926 family to have a horse and use it for transportation. If the Model T is the first real mass produced vehicle in 1908, then 18 years is a relatively short period. Of course, when it comes to EVs, they've actually be around since the 1900s. I think Doris Kearns Goodwin wrote about how President Taft used to like riding around in an old EV. But, maybe we should use the release of the Model S in 2012 as the modern era of EVs... we're only 14 years into that transition and we've still got a long way to go before the percentage of even new EV sales per year becomes substantial. What I wonder about is how much faster this transition is happening in countries like Norway and China... and if the great manufacturing power of China is behind it, how much sooner the world will be shifting to EVs than it took for the world to go from horse to bike to car.Right, but imagine what happened when people stopped riding on horseback to the saloon. They didn't just disappear all at once, and a lot of other new businesses popped up.
