Website updates

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

When are we getting some updates? Website unchanged….no upcoming events or showing…..things have got very stale.

What is it you need. There are plenty of topics to entertain. Lots of testing right now so hard to share that. Fall and early winter had lots of changes. Perhaps asking for some topics and points of interest would help SM offer some new interest to make you happier. They obviously can’t release exciting news everyday.

I was just thinking the same thing. The website has been the same since late 2024?? I might be wrong! I am not sure. It seems that way at least. :ROFLMAO: But shoot if they can update it with a preview of what Scouts could look like. (Potential) design center page or something. Different photos and videos of the vehicles now that they have been out and about across the states? Or shoot even photos of videos of the prototypes being loaded with gear or going off road. Something different than just the basic website now. I have checked it regularly the last few weeks out of boredom and it is sadly still the same so I let the page sit and run and run......and run. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The website has been slowly updated. But at the same time its only been a year and half at most. The two mock-ups are not really cars in any real sense in that they are custom hand-built shells. So getting videos of them in action or driving is going to be very rare. Their social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn have more photos and videos of the shells in "use" though.

Exactly. Those engines in those are just to make getting on and off the transport vehicles easier and so they can move them around. Jamie posted end of last year they are getting revamped and the Traveler would be getting a sister. Even with 3 they will be limited as to how many places they can go. All that to say, when they are within a reasonable travel distance from where you are I would highly recommend going. Totally worth it. My husband and I drove 6 hours each way to see them in Ohio and then 2 hours each way in yucky weather to see them in Chicago. Totally worth it.

That makes sense! Guess just holding back the excitement and eagerness to have one is getting harder by the second!! :ROFLMAO: Definitely want to go see them in person. Especially in the western region were in. But I couldn't justify the trip to LA or San Diego to see them. At the time flights were $500 plus for one way tickets! And I was not trying to get killed if you catch my drift! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Totally get it. I managed to convince my husband to take our summer vacation to Springfield, Ohio for Nats. 😹

Makes me think about how I'm a short drive away from this

where could see parts or all of Scout right now if I only had the connections and a hefty NDA signed.

We are in the process of working on a big refresh of the website. We are also working on a visualizer to be released later this year. Lots going on, so hang in there.
If you all are taking suggestions...

All of the interactivity when scrolling is neat, but it can also be frustrating when trying to get specific information. Like on the Traveler page, when I want t look at images or dimensions I have scroll, scroll, scroll a bunch to get to that section. A simple secondary menu to jump to important info on those pages would be huge. Just 3 - 5 links for different sections especially for people who come back to the main site frequently.

And also losing the main menu as you scroll is kind of a bummer. Easy enough to get it back with a slight scroll up, but having it always available would be great.

Not knocking the overall design - which I think is very well done with a theme that fits the brand & the animations are fun when I'm not in a rush (lol).

Thanks Jaime.

Any chance you all have a 2026 events schedule yet, or at least a few opportunities to see the concepts?

I'm going to put in my usual plug here for the NY International Auto Show.
