Audio system

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
What brand-because brand matters 🤣

Ascendo 80" infrasonic subwoofer. I'm sure one of the guys over at AVSForum already has two of these behind their screen wall.

I'm generally against super niche things being worked on by the automobile manufacturer.

But I think it would be pretty neat if Scout gave every employee the option to submit a track that would be included in a Scout Adventure Playlist that's part of the Launch Edition goodie bag: A small iPod or USB drive would contain the music and be in the vehicle upon delivery.

Yes, I know it's probably not possible due to licensing, but it would still be cool.

I think that’s a great idea. I have a Spotify list going called Scout Songs and its songs I want to listen to when I’m driving my Scout home from the factory.

Hopefully some updates soon? This sounds like for some including myself a make or break for them.
I always ask questions around here. I grew up with cars that had crappy stereos or speakers and you would go have something else put in. In my latest new cars it hasn’t been an issue. Honestly couldn’t tell you what brand they have.

But I do know it’s important to people.

What’s the minimum audiophiles would need to see so it’s not an issue. Is is a speaker issue? Watts? Ease of swapping out or adding speakers, subwoofers, etc.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

If they stick with US manufacturers I vote McIntosh for premium audio.
Not a lot of companies in the states that manufacture their car audio in US that could handle demand.
Curious which way this goes. 🎶
That would be awesome. They currently supply audio to the large Jeep line. They also created a high-end audio system for the 100th Anniversary Ford GT, and believe or not a audio system for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

I agree. I think some complaints I hear with cars especially with removable tops or in this case a cabana top say the sound really gets lost. I think the hummer ev tried to mitigate that with there setup and it balancing when roof was off and windows were down but do not hear good reviews on that.

Biggest sound wave wins. Designing a good audio system for open top driving is very difficult.
