  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I reserved the Terra Harvester, like the flexibility. If price creeps up I will keep my ICE Sierra and get out of electric market. If we rely on government to build out charging grid, it will fail miserably.

I reserved a Traveler with Harvester within hours of the announcement back in October, but decided to reserve a Terra with Harvester today as well since towing capacity will be a big factor once those figures firm up. Some folks here were very helpful with my goals for our next vehicle and convinced me the Terra would be a better fit after sharing some of the travel trailers we are looking at.

In a perfect world my wife may end up getting the Traveler as well since she commutes 100 miles a day and it would be perfect for her to run around in without using much gas. Might get both vehicles if it makes sense. If the Traveler has a 240V plug as well it would be an easier sale with the wife since we lose power frequently out here in East Texas and being able to power the house with both vehicles would get her on board.

I reserved a Traveler with the range extender. But I keep thinking maybe I should change it to the Terra. With so many reservations for the Traveler, I keep thinking it will be another Bronco fiasco. Where they took on more reservations than they should have and people were waiting almost 2 years to receive their Broncos.

I think you’ll be surprised. Bronco roll out was worse because of Covid supply constraints and ordering cheap parts like pistons that failed and several other items.
Also the issue with flippers caused massive problems so DTC with customer verification should help tremendously.
I’m excitedly optimistic. Currently slotted for traveler EREV but will most likely go full BEV because of the simplicity and will cover most of our needs.
The Terra however is an awesome looking truck and I think you’ll be happy either way. Best of luck, it will come! 😎

I actually decided on the Terra. Mostly because a truck fits my needs more. Had a Tacoma before I switched to an Ioniq 5. I love my EV but I definitely miss having a truck.

Welcome to the forum!

You still have time to decide. Resevations get locked in and finalized when Scout lets us pick options, etc and finalize the order. Until then, you can change your mind if you want to.
