Hey Lady Scouts!!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
👋 Hi from Colorado! I don't post much, but lurk a lot. Can't believe how long we still have to wait before getting our hands on our new vehicles...Especially since I'm starting to get that "new car itch". I didn't really get to pick the car I have now (Rav4 hybrid), and while I like it, I'm ready for something else. I had a reservation for the new Land Cruiser that came available last year, but decided to make the smart financial decision and pass on it. Luckily, once they revealed the Scout concept, it helped soften that disappointment a little with something to look forward to!

Hello! Same. Total new car itch but it’s okay now that I have a goal I can wait. I didn’t pick out my Wrangler either but I love her. This will be my first time picking out a car for me in 20 years by the time the Scout gets here. I have test driven and considered no less than 20 vehicles. I was going to pull the trigger on the new 4Runner but so glad it was delayed and I saw the Scout. I love love the Traveler.

And I am a social media lurker as well. This is legitimately the first forum I have ever posted on and it’s so fun. I’m learning a lot and it helps to know I’m not alone waiting.

Thanks for saying hi!! We ladies need to represent and make our wishes known. Have a great weekend!!

The last car I chose myself was a Grand Cherokee, but my husband and I went down to one car during COVID/WFH days to save some money and got rid of the Jeep before it started having electrical issues (IYKYK). And we had just gotten the Rav for him. Then when we both were back to the office and had to get a second car again, I agreed to drive the Rav and he picked out a used Audi A5. It's funny that our last two cars at purchase were "his" and therefore his choice, because I'm the car person between the two of us!

The Rav is great, but it just isn't big enough for road trips and recreation for us. We were trying to fit 2 huskies, luggage, and adventure gear in it and it's tight. We sadly lost one of our two dogs very unexpectedly last week, so the size needs have become less pressing, but I imagine we'll be back to two big dogs at some point in our future. My Traveler is definitely intended to be the dog-mobile!!

First I am so sorry about your dog. I’m a dog and cat lover and it’s the worst. The fact that you are purchasing a car with your dogs in mind means the next one will have hit the jackpot.

I picked out my 2007 BMW 321i and then my husband picked out the 2013 Wrangler for himself. We were fortunate and bought the lifetime warranty on it. So she will last until the Scout gets here. I’m trying to convince my son to take her because with that warranty they will literally put a new engine in for $100. It’s unlimited miles as long as we own her.

Anyway I slowly started using the Jeep more and more and when we had to move to Illinois for his job I told him I have the kids I’m taking the Jeep. He took the 328i and hated it. It was all things he didn’t like. Hated the exterior color, the interior color and the fact that it had 4 doors. He only drove it 5 months before he got a Miata soft top. Then he got a Miata hardtop and hated it so much we only had that car 600 miles and we traded it on his dream car the Supra. So he is done. It’s my turn. He says I’m like Goldilocks over here and I finally found my car. We have always wanted yellow so invariably every few posts I mention a yellow Traveler would be really nice SM. Hint, hint. Now for the waiting………

I'm so glad you started this thread!! Was hoping there were some other ladies out there! At times the threads start to feel a bit like high school "shop" and I get lost! I've learned a lot about the EV world though, so thankful for the patient teachers on here. I've been driving a Jeep Wrangler for about 5 years and love it most of the time. I have to drive my 82 year old dad around who has an awful time getting in and out. Was actually just starting to look at options when I heard about the Scout. My dreams have come true. I've been nostalgic for my '74 Scout for thirty years. Now I'm finally going to get the sweet ride this 50-something lady deserves ❤️

Yay! I was so hoping there were other ladies out there too!! So nice to meet you from another 50 something lady! And same. Never had an EV before. I’m better off talking shop about older cars than EVs. I’m learning a lot. It’s so nice to know there are more of us out there. I never had a Scout and no family legacy of Scouts. I have been looking for a Wrangler replacement for quite awhile. Finally I just Googled things that look like a Wrangler and here we are. Looking forward to the journey! I think I told you before I love your dog!

Your little Schnauzer is a cutie too! I'm in Michigan, by the way, so really interested in learning more about EV and cold weather issues. There were so many rumors out there that the batteries would be horrible in a michigan winter, just not sure what to belive!

Same boat. I’m in Illinois. Part of the reason I reserved the harvester. I’m really interested to see the results from all the testing they do on the vehicles as we go through the process.

Me me, I’m a woman! I’m from Massachusetts, I’m a disabled former communications professional/childless cat lady, and I currently drive a Prius left over from my legally-dissolved marriage, and have also never picked out the car. My ex sold me on the Prius… I was not convinced. He was not a fan of big cars and would do stuff like deliberately steal parking spaces from SUVs in the parking lot. I’m amazed that our car never got keyed. Anyhow! We had a Scout when I was little and it was like a part of our family. My forum namesake was the name of our Scout. My real identity is top secret. 🤫 I just got a national parks pass a couple of months ago and am really looking forward to using it!

P.S. fellas sure I’ll be your #tradwife if you pay for the Scout
