  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I love features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, etc. since they all serve as safety enhancement to my driving. I am not a huge fan of autonomous driving not just because I don't trust it, but because what I see all the time on the road (especially tesla drivers)...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Not to mention how counter-intuitive it is. Hands free autonomous driving in my electric vehicle cuts down on gas consumption and pollution... powered by massive data centers that pollute drinking water, destroy the local environment, cause health issues to residents, and require massive lifts...

I'll be honest- not a huge fan of the forcing AI down our throat especially behind the wheel. Fingers crossed that Scout isn't planning on following suit given their generally more environmentally friendly disposition.

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

There's a small electrician contractor company by me that does solar/geothermal work and they have two lightnings. Given the work they you know they jumped on it day 1.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Ford Bronco Base: 40k Big Bend: 41k Outer Banks: 48k Badlands: 50k Heritage: 51k Stroppe: 75k Raptor: 80k Packages on "Base" go up to $8k, with additional options for the roof ranging from $500 to $3.2k and a plethora of exterior and interior options from $100 to $2k (I don't know if any of...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Yeah I agree, I'm not as familiar with VW but I think they are similar. Maybe I'll do the Bronco.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

It's not a 1:1 but I think if you look at Audi's trim level bumps its probably fairly in % increase wise I'd expect for Scout trim levels. Without adjusting any options, the standard A3: Premium: $41k Premium Plus: $44k Prestige: $47k With additional options packages ranging from $800-1800...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Thanks for sharing the pictures cyure! I always like seeing pics from events, but the more candid shots from visitors are always way cooler and give us some views/peeks at stuff you wouldn't usually see with the professional stuff ;)

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I'm not sure my budget goes up that high either but I have two children who yearn for the mines! 🤑 But seriously I am trying to budget towards the 80k side and hope it ends up under.

I have a hard time trusting this specific SCOTUS to reach that same conclusion unfortunately.

it looks like the FWD is the trim that falls under $35k, still- not bad! Not sure I'd go back to Subaru though. Love my Crosstrek but extremely dissatisfied with the dealership experience.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Thanks for your insight @Jamie@ScoutMotors. Speaking at least for myself, I am keenly aware of general "R&D" costs, as well as other expenses that a manufacturer like Ford or Toyota generally dont face (you know, like building a factory and assembly lines from literally nothing), but having some...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

One thing that you are conveniently skipping over in this entire discussion is that the modern ICE engine has had over 100 years of incremental progress, improvements, and manufacturing efficiency gains. Electric Vehicles don’t even have a quarter of that, and no two are manufactured the same...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

This doesn't carry over to the EV space in 2019. Admittedly, SUV EVs were pretty uncommon at that point, but the ones that were available generally pushed above 75k (Audi and Tesla). There was much more in the crossover space, but I don't think I'd ever do a comparison of like... a Solterra and...
