  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Yeah I thought at some point Jamie had addressed that. Makes sense.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I believe PowerCo is still speculation at this point, no? Either way, wouldn’t solid state batteries make it impossible to meet the vehicle pricing that was presented at the reveal?

Any official pictures &/or renderings w/a Receiver Hitch?

Yep, exactly. There are a ton of trailers and use cases these days that require pretty robust tow capacity and payload figures.

    Dual Port Charging

I wouldn’t have any interest in chain charging, but definitely vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to home. Just in case I win the lottery in the next 3 years and end up exploring the middle of nowhere with two Scouts in the family it would be nice to be able to share charge between the two or use...

Charging a Scout with a Scout

I’d also like to see this offered as long as it doesn’t push the base price up. I guess I’m hoping they’ve already baked this into the original design and pricing.

    Automatic Retractable Electric Running Boards

I’d definitely be on board with what you describe. Rock rails with a bigger step would serve several purposes as I’ve said before; they’re good off road without the low hanging bits that could get ripped off or bent on obstacles, they function as sliders, function as a step, and depending how...

    Automatic Retractable Electric Running Boards

I’m basically in the same boat here with all of your thoughts and this applies to any sort of low hanging fruit within the wheelbase that aids with ingress/egress, not just a retractable version. A. First and foremost I likely would not be willing (or able, depending how high the base vehicle...

    Sound suppression

I completely agree. My personal experiences have proven that the tire itself plays an enormous role here, not just the vehicle build/characteristics or tire size. I will also note that the tire on the concept vehicles is going to be just about the best combination of the most all-around...

Make Sure Traveler is drivable with tailgate/liftgate open.

I’m definitely in agreement here. Been there, done that, would love to be able to continue doing it. In SUVs of my past I have also rolled down the rearmost window or opened the upper portion of the rear access (flip window) for ventilation in hot weather for those vehicles that were not a...

    Keep the weight down please

Good point. I agree that I would choose increased robustness over lighter weight if given the choice.

    Keep the weight down please

Good question, I’m actually not certain. I know almost a decade ago they were using it somewhere on the Spania GTA and then BAC was working on graphene body panels for the Mono track car, but I really don’t know where it went from there.

    Keep the weight down please

Well, since the budget is blown let’s just go with graphene and be done with it.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I’m not really interested. I love to drive. I do want to have adaptive cruise control though as that greatly decreases fatigue for me on really long road trips. I might consider some sort of lane keep or other features for long highway runs as well, but am not to the point of exploring any...

    Optional 37” Tires

Yes. Agreed. There have been whispers of this being a possibility, but nothing confirmed yet as far as I’m aware.

Hot take: 18-22" Wheels on Base Model

I’m no help here because 18 inch wheels are already too big for my tastes and intended use. I get where you’re coming from though, I hear you. Options are good because everyone uses vehicles in vastly different ways and locations. It seems that more options could help with appealing to a...
