  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Trail Side Fixes?

Probably easier to offer reliability. Besides not many people are taking a brand new vehicle offroad.

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

Maybe if you get the 35” offroad tires it should automatically come with a cheap audio since it wouldn’t matter at that point.

Next event at the new plant?

Go to a Fireflies game and get a closeup with one of the prototypes. As far as I know it’s still there.

    Prototype on display?

My friend went to Segra Park to watch The Fireflies play baseball yesterday and said that Scout has a prototype on display in their Columbia SC office. I was fortunate enough to see the Terra and Traveler when they were in Blythewood SC on Feb 22 and wow was that exciting to see in person. I...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I’m sure everyone knows they can decide either way on order day but I’m waiting to see prices and real capacities. I noticed nobody has really asked about Harvester pricing. Also, I have zero range anxiety. I’ll be charging at home and rarely be traveling over 350 miles.

Some suggestions that I believe would make Scout the best Electric Offroad option

No disrespect to the Off roaders but I have been wanting to say that for a long time. If i had an old Scout I would take it off roading but i’m definitely not taking a brand new vehicle off roading ( at least in South Carolina) Most people today want the off road look but stay the road.

    Bench Seat vs Standard

VW has perfected perforated imitation leather.

    Bench Seat vs Standard

I like the idea of 3 across in the front row but I would prefer 3 bucket seats. Fold down arm rests would be a bonus.

    Bourgeoisie leather seating please! ;-)

VW already knows how to make the best perforated synthetic leather. Comfortable and looks like new for years.

    Size comparison

Nice exercise. I think the biggest difference between Bronco and Traveler would be width. Traveler is supposed to seat 3 across where the Bronco is pretty narrow inside and only seats 4.
