  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Some suggestions that I believe would make Scout the best Electric Offroad option

No disrespect to the Off roaders but I have been wanting to say that for a long time. If i had an old Scout I would take it off roading but i’m definitely not taking a brand new vehicle off roading ( at least in South Carolina) Most people today want the off road look but stay the road.

    Bench Seat vs Standard

VW has perfected perforated imitation leather.

    Bench Seat vs Standard

I like the idea of 3 across in the front row but I would prefer 3 bucket seats. Fold down arm rests would be a bonus.

    Bourgeoisie leather seating please! ;-)

VW already knows how to make the best perforated synthetic leather. Comfortable and looks like new for years.

    Size comparison

Nice exercise. I think the biggest difference between Bronco and Traveler would be width. Traveler is supposed to seat 3 across where the Bronco is pretty narrow inside and only seats 4.

    SCOUT TERRA FAQ

I don’t think you will need any of that technology because Scout will be 2 motor AWD/4WD automatic anti-slip 2027 technology. I have a 2018 AWF Ridgeline and it always knows what to do and never spins a tire.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Maybe I missed it but having the traveler rear tailgate stay down and the rear hatch closed so a few long items can hang out the back.

    Actual pricing

I hope when it time to place our orders Scout will reference actual prices and not “price after estimated savings” like Tesla does on their website. It’s ok to list savings below the price. Hopefully the tax credits will still apply.?

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Yep, I reserved a Terra but I’m sure they would let me change it to a Traveler and or Harvester option.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

More likely a 120cc ( think Honda suitcase generator) running the entire 500 mile trip.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

I’m sure to get 500 miles of range the gas extender will be running the entire time. Personally I would rather have 350 miles of battery range than reduced battery size and the extender. But the choice is very nice.

    Chevy Silverado

I see Chevy is now selling the Silverado EV. How many do you think they will sell with prices starting at ~$97,500? Fingers crossed that Scout will be at a reasonable price point ?

    MAX RANGE

Yes. When the Cybertruck was supposed to be $40,000 and 250 miles of range it certainly would have caused the competition major problems. But Tesla had millions of preorders so they made a business decision to raise the price $20k and not even offer the base model. It will take Tesla years to...

    MAX RANGE

For me, it will come down to price and range. If the Tesla model Y long range were a truck I would buy it.
