  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Change of Heart?

I have no doubt Scout will be successful. I watched videos on their software people... They are with it. I'm sure with enough time they will match anything Rivian or Tesla does and that's saying something.

As we get closer to launch. Feature Requests & Real‑World Feedback for Scout

Please put thought process into how the camera systems work. With Tesla this would have never been a problem. You can view all the cameras at once. It was just beautiful. Never had to worry about bumping into my dog. Not to mention.. you could go 200 mph and the cameras would still be on. Ford...

I agree it does a really good job. Mile per mile. It's cheaper to drive a RAV4 hybrid than any EV. After getting into an EV I'll never go back.. but I do find myself missing the range

I think a close comparison would be the Ford Lightning to the Ford powerboost

We need to talk about drone props attachment addons

There's going to be trade-offs and that's why I'm trying to bring this up now because the direction I want to go is obviously regular EV but then having some simple, thoughtful strategies would be very good

If you're willing to take a 50% cut for towing and slower performance and handling, this is for you.

That's good news but still going EV only and I hope Scout will make at bare minimum the port in the back available.

I was going to buy it but not anymore. And there's no mention if the Harvester will charge stationary. You might be in the same boat.

lol no one said you had to. I am talking about boondocking offgrid. If you have tensioned hitch, no bounce.. Besides stow in the rear bed strapped down. Ya.. It's nice when you have good places to charge but if you have ever traveled way out where there is none, it sucks. App says it should...

There's no way to get 350 miles out of 130 kw on a vehicle that's the same size as the Lightning unless your doing 45 mph with no AC.

If the charger works and you're near a highway. I've traveled on so many offroads and arrived to charging networks that didn't work.

I guess I’d probably be considered one of the “impractical” ones. I used to transport a Delta Pro Ultra around, so the concept isn’t that strange to me. The bigger issue is that if Scout doesn’t provide a way to hook something like that up, it essentially eliminates the ability to travel long...

    Ever tried tow charging?

I pulled the Tesla around for a little bit and it seemed to charge fast in a few miles. It's a good tool to know about for EV owners

Aww I see now... The reason you would want to do this is because the performance and handling remains what EV enthusiasts would expect. Add the generator when you want to go far or charge off grid, remove it when you don't need it. Try driving a rav 4 hybrid and then a non hybrid.. you'll see...
