  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout Concepts in New York City September 18-19, 2025

Grand Teton would make an amazing backdrop... Horrible from population / visibility stand point. But just think of the photo op! Maybe Jackson WY can be of note for a stop, I'd make that drive.

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

Awesome shots! Thanks, I am going for the Terra but I'm sure it's very similar.

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

A video walk-through maybe ?? 🤞 Would love to see how android auto is incorporated or the built in navi app.... My daughter has been asking me how the view looks from the backseat lol. I dunno if I've seen that angle anywhere yet.

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

Definitely, when the day comes the build your Scout vehicle online tool goes live. If it included ALL options/accessories but maybe a bit different font or opaque for the stuff that's not available yet. And then a rough timeline for the options you chose. Even something vague like Q3 2027 or...

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

I know I'm not the only one. And nothing special about me to get one out. But I'm itching for some new details. - More pricing info - Maybe more details on what will be manufactured first - Color options - Packages What do you all want to hear next? For me pricing is a big one, but even...

The One-Ton Problem with Scout’s Harvester Range Extender

I could live with that! I don't see myself towing more than that. Just capping at 5K is very limiting.

The One-Ton Problem with Scout’s Harvester Range Extender

Glad you posted a new thread on this. I made a comment somewhere else, but my jaw just about dropped when I heard this menial tow rating. My only real consideration is the Harvester EREV variant. I don't plan on huge cross country trips with a large tailer with the Harvester Terra. At least...

Tariffs are coming and EV Tax Credit is Going Away

Something to be said about vehicles manufactured in the states too though. They won't be hit with same tarriffs or any. Understanding some parts or materials will likely need to be sourced from over seas. I also believe I heard that new factories can essentially be or have huge tax write off...

What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

I envy the ones who have minimal meetings. Lol.

Lead Product Devoper, which means I'm a professional meeting attendor/presentor and developer cat wrangler.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

4 things that stood out to me Two good two bad Good: - The battery chemistry for Harvester model is older cheaper Chem (hopefully keeps cost down) - Steady state is 70 MPH, so should be capable of highway driving even if gasing up when the battery is depleted) Bad: - Harvester model is a whole...

    Re-think Headlight Design

I had to take a double take on the date of your post. I've been MIA in here for quite a while. Ha guess I have a lot of catching up to do.

    Re-think Headlight Design

I feel the same about the postage stamp fringe. Not a huge fan, but something I'd like to see in person.

    Battery Life Cycle

Exactly this statement here. I mean I want a solid state battery, the longevity, the safety improvements behind it. A $5K maybe even a $10K bump if there's enough standard features. But I'm not looking to pay Wagoneer prices. I'll then go back to the Gladiator as my main option.
