  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Damn I hope I can fit a 35” spare internally. That’s clean!

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Not to necro my own comment, but a pop top camper that integrated with the factory roofline and cabana top would be damn cool. EVs feel like a poor choice for roof racks and RTTs for drag reasons, the option for an aerodynamically friendly pop top seems pretty unique. Hop out, pop the top up...

HOPEFULLY?! You can’t just tease us like this and not follow through!

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

My understanding is it’s related to how much pressure is on the steering axle - this is a function of tongue weight, vehicle length (maybe specifically how far the steering axle is from the hitch itself), and vehicle weight distribution. Putting an engine up front under the hood is one of the...

Re: towing capacity - someone pointed out it’s probably about tongue weight rather than actual pulling or stopping ability. Putting 200lb engine (with another 100-200lbs of genset, cooling, and armor) behind the rear axle would take up that same amount of tongue weight. Going from 7k tow...

One more piece of feedback: y’all absolutely crushed it on the Traveler design/styling. The rolling shots managed to make it look even better than the staged glamor shots, and that says a lot. Nice office too!

RIP your notifications whenever new info drops lol. I really do hope Scout can get the tow rating on Traveler Harvester up to 7k. That’s enough to tow a small camper or car hauler with a bit of margin for other cargo.

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Would be cool to see a factory option for a cargo/sleep platform in the Traveler. Big enough to hide coolers/boxes under, easy to unfold to sleep on, but lighter than building something myself out of plywood. Ford has a couple variations of cargo cages for the Bronco, but nothing that’s easy to...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Flat folding second row in the traveler. It would be extra cool if the front bench also folds flat - not necessarily level with the load floor in the back, but just level so that car camping gets simplified. Now to head to the accessories thread to ask for a lightweight car camping/cargo platform…

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I sincerely hope steel springs and traditional shocks are an option and we’re not forced into an air suspension. Some of the recent interviews made me wonder if air is going to be universal. @Jamie@ScoutMotors

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Traveler Harvester. Turns out I need an SUV more than a truck, and an EV that can go way out in the mountains (and looks awesome) can’t be beat!
