  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Italian tune ups are REAL and VALID and nobody can ever tell me otherwise. (Pretty sure modern DI engines don’t really need it, but I can’t imagine it actually hurts. And it’s fun!)

Sweet, been wondering about this. 4/48 comprehensive is pretty solid. I’d always like to see 5/60 on a new model from a new company, but this is nothing to sneeze at. I’ll be very curious to see the extended warranty pricing. I took my Bronco’s comprehensive to 5/60 from 3/36 for 1500. Wonder...

    leasing

Not letting me reply to @Chuckles : Exactly! Will Scouts depreciate similarly? Will harvester models have better or worse resale? (I suspect they’ll hold better value than the BEV models initially). Good residuals for “good” lease deals are in the 60% ish range (I am open to being corrected...

    leasing

There shouldn’t be significant differences in most states’ fees, taxation, etc. between leasing and financing (in the sense that any complexity in financing difference is likely no worse than leasing differences, for a company with Scout’s resources). If I were a new EV company, I would be...

    Colton’s 2025 Nationals Trip!

I wonder what is in the big dead space on the front of the frunk? Looks like you could pack a bunch of electronics (or some additional fold down storage, like a tool roll and recovery gear)

    Optional 37” Tires

There’s a giant lifted truck on those wide stretched street tires with LEDs inside the wheels near me, and normally I’m not the biggest fan. But this guy(?) has a little tiny set of truck nuts hanging off the back, and honestly, I respect that

    Optional 37” Tires

You joke, but I remember when 35s were HUGE. Now it seems like 37s are the bare minimum for that “beefy” look

    CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

I didn’t remember hearing able to fit 37s, but I certainly hope that’s the case. I was sure I’d be happy going from 33s to 35s on my current vehicle, but suddenly it doesn’t feel like enough. If you happen to remember where that was mentioned could you share?

    Colton’s 2025 Nationals Trip!

Im patiently waiting for Scout to announce they’re running the new duo in the 1000 next year

Thank you for your sacrifice (as a unit of measurement). This is actually really helpful. Seems like the spare tire ends up being about the same place as on my Bronco (35s). My wife is 5’2” - was the tailgate easy for you to sit on? I know she’ll have to hop up a bit.

Thank god it’s a little ugly in a not-cute way and doesn’t have a turbo flat four with a manual.

Gotta pay storage fees for all those unsold dumpsters somehow!

What are you driving until release?

I had a 2012 Touareg diesel, same chassis and engine. What a fantastic highway warrior, I got 700 miles on a tank going coast to coast (and 550 miles on a tank cruising at 95-105 during the early days of Covid through Wyoming and Utah, when nobody was on the roads).
