  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

@Jamie@ScoutMotors I know you’re he demo vehicles are probably on a strict schedule and the original reveal models might be elsewhere from the newest release but……. Is it possible for the next round of shoots to do a multi angle/shot to compare the two releases to each other? I’m curious to...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Jamie@ScoutMotors Is it possible to get an interior layout on the Terra to incorporate brown leather on the main section? All the images I’m seeing are gray on the main section and brown leather on the top. The Traveller has an interior layout similar to what I’m thinking: All the Terra...

Scout Terra Debuts in New Silo Color and Retheme

I’d prefer black rims that have a classic look like this:

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet on the forum but my wife just got a Rav 4 for the time being and there’s a feature I like. I’m also not certain if this is a new standard as we were driving vehicles from 2009 and 2012. There is a defrost for the wiper area when they are in the off...

Scout has more than 50,000 reservations

Agreed. It to mention the Tesla Cybertruck is a complete disgrace to all things labelled ‘truck’. The fact they had to place the name ‘truck’ in the vehicle name to remind the consumer the design is intended to be a truck speaks volumes of the lack of the overall design. People who reserved...

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

Couple more opinions: - no ‘animated’ turn signals (starts from left side of light and illuminates to right side etc). Simple turning indicators please. - Don’t forget the ‘low washer fluid’ indicator. My wife’s 2012 GMC Terrain doesn’t have this indicator. Seems like some engineers need to...

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

I posted this on a different discussion forum but I’ll restate it here; Please don’t label our Scouts with “4x4”, “off-road”, “AWD”, “EV” etc. these badges make vehicles (cough cough Tesla) look cheap. We know what Scout stands for and what they are capable of. We don’t need to broadcast...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

One feature I would like to “not” see would be badging on the vehicle that dirties up the clean look (as we see on the prototypes). PLEASE do NOT slap badges on Scouts stating obvious features on these rides: -4x4 -EV/Hybrid badging I can’t stand when vehicles (cough cough….Tesla) display...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Here’s an 80’s scout that is Champagne, it’s kind of close but I think the other colour I uploaded looks better.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yeah agreed, Scout colour is way better. I’m thinking it’s more of a lighter/medium brown (or Champagne colour I think is what it’s called), rose gold is more of jewelry colour than an off road truck colour lol. I think Nissan has that colour for their EV and it looks bad in person IMHO. I’m...

    Scout Color Poll #1

How about this Champagne classic colour? Either gloss and/or satin (more flat) gloss?

    Winch

I think in addition to a hand held device that’s plugged in, the app has a tab/menu that allows for winch control via Bluetooth (even build it into the dash software in addition to the app). Warm has a new Bluetooth feature on their winches that allow this.

Bi-directional Charging / Home Power Backup

Will this bidirectional charger be available via the scout EV charger that we saw on demo? What features can we expect via this charger and the app for bidirectional options? Speaking on the subject of Harvester, will there be a safety feature built in to NOT run the generator when parked in...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Thanks for the reply. I just cringe when I see all the videos of people putting ‘sun shades’ to block out glass roofs. Seems a little ridiculous to put ‘pop up’ sun shades on your roof interior……like a sunshade for a child in the back seat.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Though the video is not the best, here is a cool feature on Rivian that hopefully makes its way into glass roof world: I was looking at this window technology 10 years ago as we were debating adding onto our old house and putting a window in the shower with this auto privacy option. Would be...
