  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Here’s an 80’s scout that is Champagne, it’s kind of close but I think the other colour I uploaded looks better.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yeah agreed, Scout colour is way better. I’m thinking it’s more of a lighter/medium brown (or Champagne colour I think is what it’s called), rose gold is more of jewelry colour than an off road truck colour lol. I think Nissan has that colour for their EV and it looks bad in person IMHO. I’m...

    Scout Color Poll #1

How about this Champagne classic colour? Either gloss and/or satin (more flat) gloss?

    Winch

I think in addition to a hand held device that’s plugged in, the app has a tab/menu that allows for winch control via Bluetooth (even build it into the dash software in addition to the app). Warm has a new Bluetooth feature on their winches that allow this.

Bi-directional Charging / Home Power Backup

Will this bidirectional charger be available via the scout EV charger that we saw on demo? What features can we expect via this charger and the app for bidirectional options? Speaking on the subject of Harvester, will there be a safety feature built in to NOT run the generator when parked in...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Thanks for the reply. I just cringe when I see all the videos of people putting ‘sun shades’ to block out glass roofs. Seems a little ridiculous to put ‘pop up’ sun shades on your roof interior……like a sunshade for a child in the back seat.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Though the video is not the best, here is a cool feature on Rivian that hopefully makes its way into glass roof world: I was looking at this window technology 10 years ago as we were debating adding onto our old house and putting a window in the shower with this auto privacy option. Would be...

    Scout Security System?

That’s why I said programable kill switch to be able to kill the vehicle. Even the remote app could have a passcode and facial recognition to bypass for remote controls but the physical vehicle start/operation would still require the unique sequence that can’t be ‘taken’ via obd2 etc,

    Scout Security System?

Active cameras as sentry protection would be awesome. Dash and rear cameras recording while driving is key. With all the vehicle thefts going on, is there a way to interlock hidden features to lock starting the vehicle? Keypad on touch screen and/or programmable sequence of using the buttons...

    Ditch the Wheel Arch Plastic

Leave them. For those who don’t live in a snow landscape (though it’s seasonably warm this year) or on a gravel road won’t appreciate this. This is usually the first spot to get stone chipped (underside first) and salt eats this area for breakfast. It looks great IMHO anyways but each to...

    Battery tech

Interesting video linking VW group (affiliated with Scout) and Quantumscape batteries. The bit about fast charging is a bit disappointing but there are many upsides. At the end of the day, the biggest factors are battery degradation, cold weather performance drop and charge time along with the...

    Highway Mode - RWD only

How about we don’t have an awd selection where it constantly connects and disconnects. When I think of a truck or true 4WD vehicle, it better have a selector for 2WD (RWD), 4WD high and 4WD low. Whether it’s the Terra or Traveller, this is the way and the ONLY WAY the ‘transfer case’ should be...

    Battery tech

There’s a big push to get away from lithium ion batteries and switch the chemistry to LFP. I believe this is what BYD and CATL are bragging about with the benefits of higher energy density, better if not 0 loss in sub climate conditions, faster charging time, less damage from level 3 charging...
