We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    This seems very promising! I do hope at some point they come up with an app that you can use for all chargers instead of having to have multiple different apps or use credit cards etc. Either that or have it so you can plug and charge on every different charger through the car.

    Unless it’s an LFP battery which needs to be charged to 100% every week or so, 80% is usually recommended for daily driving (or less). You can still charge to 100% at fast charging stations, it just takes a long time once you’re above 80% charge so unless there’s no chargers where you are...

    I agree that there's no way Scout's are getting anywhere near to Lucid levels of efficiency, pretty much impossible based on their design. I'm thinking for highway driving in the Terra, it's going to be around 2-2.5 miles per kWh. I still hope the BEV option will have about a 150 kW usable...

    My guess would be the first models will be sent out late 2027 but that could be in really limited numbers (I'm thinking in the tens or hundreds to meet the 2027 release date target) and then the bulk of us will get them in 2028.

    It would depend on exactly how much you use in the house and state of charge of the vehicle when starting, but I'd say a couple of days if you're powering the whole house.     I would just leave it plugged in at set at 50% until I needed to use it based on that scenario and charge up a little when needed for those short trips. It should still be fine if you just charged up to 80% and left it until it was down to 20-30% or so though before charging.

    What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

    Start/stop button, certainly not needed on the full EV version (don't know if it's really needed for the Harvester or not). Should just turn on when the door opens and be ready to drive when brake pedal is depressed and put in drive.
