  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Driving Distance Poll

I had this experience on my road trip in Quebec, I went to a national park further north, I was expecting to use a lot more energy than I did, especially given the cold and snow on the roads. I even charged to 95% at a supercharger and I never go that high normally. Even after spending most of...

    Driving Distance Poll

I did actually drive my Tesla there and back. Left home at 100% on Friday evening after work and stopped in Middletown, NY at a hotel with a free level 2 charger. Left in the morning at 98%. My efficiency in Canada was definitely lower with the cold and also snow on the roads pretty much the...

    Driving Distance Poll

I work from home but usually we do just over a 400 mile round trip every month, can charge at our destination so just need about 210 mile range with a ideally 15% or more left when we arrive as a little buffer. We do longer trips on a yearly basis. Just got back from Quebec a couple of weeks ago...

How will the scouts handle the extreme cold?

My EV turns on as I open the door and I can put it straight into drive without a start button so I can be going within 3 seconds of being in the car if I need to. I'm not a volunteer firefighter or anything like that, but you don't have to precondition them if it's an emergency or you need to...

    Automatic Retractable Electric Running Boards

I'm in two minds, I definitely want running boards (my wife has short legs), but not sure I'd prefer automatic or just fixed. Automatic can fold away and likely help to a small degree with efficiency, but fixed have nothing to go wrong with them.

Does Scout Motors Need A Challenge Coin Too?

My argument to this would be, if it's the most effective and best model, then have an option to either purchase through a dealer or direct from the auto manufacturer, and then let people decide which is best. If everyone thinks dealers are better then no one would order direct from the...

fun features for the younger and digital generation who mught have never met scout of the old days (speaking from such perspective

I've tried auto park on my parents Nissan and my Tesla, neither are very good, or rather, they get you in the space but it takes a crazy amount of time and if you did it in a busy parking lot it would annoy a lot of people! Granted I only used them a couple of times for the novelty but they'd...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I would like to, driving a couple of hundred miles on the PA turnpike every couple of months is incredibly boring and being able to just watch the road and monitor without having to worry about hands on wheel is very nice. I don't need/want self driving around cities and back roads etc. but...

    Steering wheel stalks

As long as it is easy to clean and doesn't get any dust or dirt stuck in there that's difficult to clean.

    Travel Charger Included?

Good question, I'm in two minds, because it's a waste of material and cost if everyone gets it and some people don't need/want it, but will be useful to others. Maybe they should have it available as an option to buy. I have a Tesla 110V plug as well as a 14-50 that should work with the Scout...

Towing a Off-Road Trailer with the Terra

I would expect so, I know we don’t know the battery size but if it was around 75kW for 150 miles that would be level 2 speeds to full charge

Towing a Off-Road Trailer with the Terra

I can’t see it charging that slow, based on 500 mile range with only 150 EV it wouldn’t work. The 150 miles would be gone in under 3 hours of driving at highway speed and a level 2 wouldn’t be able to charge it back up fast enough to keep going for another 350 miles.

    Heated Windshield/ Night Vision

One of my old cars had a heated windshield and it was amazing. You could never really see the lines either from a normal driving position so it wasn’t distracting in any way.

    Experience Center locations

I think Lancaster PA would be perfect for an experience center based on how you've described it! :ROFLMAO:
