What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I don’t know if it needs to happen on the anniversary of the release, but I do think a significant update is needed. It’s been two years since the initial release, and we have seen very little since then. What we did see wasn’t great. Notably, we saw that towing capacity was reduced with the battery (allegedly) and rumors of significant delays that Scout hasn’t really responded to. I really want one of these trucks, and I am willing to wait for one, but if there isn’t a line of sight to production, along with confirmed specs, I may lose my patience.

I assume I am not alone in my feelings. Keep in mind that those posting on this forum are the most excited for the trucks, and there are a lot of people who want one, but are just as willing to buy something else.
It’s a fair point. I politely disagree but I traveled to see them and seeing them has continued to show change and info that lets me know things are happening. It’s a tough point in the journey to provide info when everything is being finalized and market shifts are likely driving their procurement division nuts. If they are still locking down things they can’t talk about them. But there is regular news-just not on the daily

Love to hear an announcement of how they are quietly working on battery technology for the BEV Terra. This way they can compete with Rivian, Tesla Cybertrucks, Chevy EV and any other EV truck. Then when the tides change in the next few years Scout Terra BEV will bust out and lead the pack.

Some more ideas:

How many colors will be available at launch?
How many colors beyond white, black and grey?
How many wheels?
How many tires?
I like pop quizzes!
I’m going with:
Q1: 8
Q2: 5
Now the tricky ones
Q3 and Q4 are 4 unless you ordered the full size spare, then 5

(Sorry - couldn’t resist)
:)
