Next TuFriWendsursday? When is the next production facility update?
Yep and Jamie usually posts it as well. Sometime next week I would bet.If you check the OFFICIAL SCOUT NEWS AND UPDATES (link), that is where the month production facility updates are posted.
We used to wager on which day but that ended at some point. Also depends on how busy Jamie is with travel and planning free merch mailers and other great stories.Yep and Jamie usually posts it as well. Sometime next week I would bet.
Perhaps check your spam folder. I receive updates monthly, and the site also provides updates on upcoming events and factory status. I’m not too involved with social media, but I prefer getting my news straight from the horse’s mouth rather than relying on third-party sources. CEO, Scott Keogh was on the TBPN podcast this week and once again confirmed that deliveries are expected to begin in 2028.It’s not a good thing when we have no updates in over a year and all we get is hypothetical ideas of nice designs on social media that more than likely won’t make it to production. It’s sounding like they are just trying to keep people engaged but the method is getting old. Have seen this like a broken record. Not good. Especially with the news you are hearing. Not trying to be pessimistic but just stating my opinion based off observations
Hypothetically, what would you like to be hearing? They can’t show parts and design elements that need copy righted and/or trademarked and I’m pleased they’ve done so many change ups on the multi million dollar prototypes. They could just show 3-D printed parts and slap advertising graphics like Slate but what would that bring as it relates to substance? Sure I’d love changes weekly but just not possible. But maybe some of us see the glass half full. We each have to decide how to manage the journeyIt’s not a good thing when we have no updates in over a year and all we get is hypothetical ideas of nice designs on social media that more than likely won’t make it to production. Sorry, what news are you hearing? What is this broken record of which you speak? There isn't much to report day to day - the team is heads down building the factory and solving the thousands of little things that come up as they refine the design while doing testing. It’s not a good thing when we have no updates in over a year and all we get is hypothetical ideas of nice designs on social media that more than likely won’t make it to production. Same here. It's been a long road and but I personally see a light at the end of the tunnel. I think things are going to really start heating up here "soon." This year we're supposed to get a re-designed website and (more importantly and more fun!) a visualizer in November or December. I think in the first quarter or two of next year (2027) prototypes will start rolling off the line and you'll probably start seeing Scout stores (or whatever they call them) popping up. As the prototypes start rolling off, I think you're going to start seeing more Scouts in more places. Then towards Q3 and 4, we're probably looking at a configurator, confirmation of specs, etc.Sorry, what news are you hearing? What is this broken record of which you speak? How can you say no updates in over a year? Jamie and the team have been giving updates on the progress of the factory. They are hiring people. There is definitely stuff going on.
Oh my goodness, I just checked and I reserved on 10/25/24. Coming up on 2 years. Has it really been that long?
I understand the marketing fatigue though I don't experience it myself thanks in large part to the folks on this forum. Scout had a difficult decision to make early on whether to show off prototypes and risk future "vaporware" accusations or to show off the beautiful vehicles and build brand loyalty while they scale up the company. I think they made the right call and proceded in the right way by engaging directly and openly with the community and by providing regular updates. But if social media is your only touch point alongside click bait articles then fatigue is pretty much gauranteed by this point. Social media is tough because hype cycles are so short. Scout wants/needs to stay relevant there but that crowd is fickle and at some point the scrollers are going to wonder why no vehicle after 2+ years. That's a lot of marketing time without a product. If these folks only knew the true speed at which Scout is moving, factories and supplier park built, training center up and running, mules engaged in millions of miles of testing, design and engineering finalizing and ramping towards prototype sheet metal in the coming months. That's a ton of workin that timeframe. Scout is booking right now ... but people want their vehicles yesterday. I get it and am thankful I found this commmunity so we can focus on any number of Scout related topics other than start of production. Seriously pretty much any other topic is avaiable here including your preferred Scout aroma. It’s not a good thing when we have no updates in over a year and all we get is hypothetical ideas of nice designs on social media that more than likely won’t make it to production. Thinking jeans but I'm worried about color transfer to the seats. Glad I have a year or so to sort that out.
Love your sentiment and I’m pretty sure I had a conversation about plaid on here at some point unless it was the gang at reveal but I know there’s been plaid talk-probably related to the merch side of thingsI understand the marketing fatigue though I don't experience it myself thanks in large part to the folks on this forum. Scout supply has the plaid shirts. Should just be a given. Grab one at the delivery experience, polar plunge from the tailgate then slap on the plaid and hit the road. September update was posted earlier today. It does feel time for an August post from Jamie.
