Some great new images. Did you notice if the backpack has an internal drain? They keep mentioning wet clothes or even a cooler but haven’t seen any interior angles that show a drain so just wondering if there is a drain or does the liner lift out to remove things and wash it out?

I don’t think the prototype had one. Hopefully that along with some kind of lock are part of production model

My first thought was to put a cooler insert in this when I built it. My thought exactly was a drain that came out the bottom. But then I started thinking about why a normal cooler with ice, which would require a drain. We have power on board. We could run power to the backpack and make a refrigerator insert.

Our accessories group latched on to this backpack. They love it.

Let's see where they take it....

Know you think about this in detail much more than we do, but if there is power supply running to the backpack would be great to be able to control if it’s on/off along with being able to disconnect the power as I imagined depending on the trip switching between the tire and the backpack (and maybe any of the other exciting accessories Scout comes up with)
Additionally going to echo the lock. My use case would be going grocery shopping, put them in the backpack (and not having to open the entire trunk) and then running some other errands. Don’t want to have to worry about someone opening it up while I’m doing errands number 2 or 3.

You could put all your perishable items in the backpack(with the cooler option) and the rest in the back. Keep your eggs and milk cold as you finish your errands.

Power is already routed to the spare tire carrier to power the logo. I would think it wouldn't take much to have power for this option.

You know - running power to the backpack opens up a range of possibilities, far beyond a refrigerator insert.

Seriously.

Griddles/stoves, various lifts (kayak lift???), inflators, shop style light stands (can you imagine backing up to a field at dusk to play sportsball with your friends/kids team sport, telescoping a 3 light boom up into the air 10 ft, and turning on the stadium lights to finish practice/the last few plays?). Maybe even a heated seat insert (you could ref a volleyball game from up there ).

Or maybe thats where the gear drier goes.
