We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

If the carrier is easily removed, we would probably get the backpack and the carrier and only use it when we’re camping.
I have been lobbying for a removable carrier for some time. That would the best. The Traveler with the carrier is 28" longer than the vehicle it will replace and the access door in the garage to the house is directly in front of that space. It makes for a tight squeeze into the house.

I need to measure my Jeep. It has a steel bumper on the front that has these two little bump out on it and then my tire is a 33 so I think it’s longer than I think.

I’m all in on the tire carrier. I have a cabinet I can take down in the garage if need be. Her and her whole tire carrier fabulousness are going in the garage.

With the BEV the spare can be mounted under the floor where the harvester is going. I can always use more storage on long trips so having the option to place the spare tire under the vehicle and then attach an extra storage space to the rear tire holder is a win.

You know me and questions. Let’s say someone has a 35. There would be enough room under the floor of the Traveler for a 35” tire?

Good question... Hopefully we receive an answer to this in the new year. If it will come stock with 33s then I will take a gander that at least 33s will slide under the vehicle. I could be totally wrong though... I know on my current Ford, I can fit a 33 in the spare well but it's real tight, I would not be able to fit a 35 between the frame rails I believe.

I really like the detail of the tow hooks and I would love them to be the Scout logo colors.

Even two tone. Blue on the outside and the orange on the inside. Something like that.

Welcome agree on a lot on our scouts but I like these as they designed. I could see Scout colored shackles or truck nutz but I like these as shown. But I still everyone gets what they want 😀
 
Okay so here’s a picture of the A pillar handle on the passenger side. I know Jamie has said we are getting one on the drivers side too. Are we thinking A pillar there as well or on the ceiling.

I hope it is a pillar handle. The vehicle will be rather tall and a roof handle will not be reachable by a large group of owners.

Without a scale, those tow mounts look like they could be incompatible with a lot of my hardware.

The round hole on top appears too small for most of my >6000 pound shackle bolts.
The oddly-shaped hole behind would cause any reasonably-thick strap to bunch up and thus become weaker at that point.
The thickness of the material between the outside of the shackle and the weird-shaped hole appears thicker than most of my hardware would accommodate.
The thickness across the tow mount appears way too much to allow adjustment of the hardware as necessary, which could cause “hot spots” where the metal-on-metal wearing eventually causes weird weaknesses and failures.

But I can’t really tell from the photos.

I’d have to bring my recovery hardware to test.

I should also seriously consider upgrading from 1920s tech to today’s soft shackles so I have less concern with flying hardware when things inevitably break.

Maybe Scout will include recovery “hardware” in the form of a couple of soft shackles, a 20,000 pound flat strap, and maybe a couple of other pieces that are tested to work with the recovery points.

Prefer a handle on the A pillar and another grab location on the ceiling/roof as well. Something I can sort of loosely hold onto while driving… that is if my elbow sits comfortably on the window sill and I can still reach the ceiling/roof

Old habit's die hard. Some new hardware is probably a good idea.
 
An overhead view of the console. I’m really hoping next time I see them I can get a picture in the phone charging slots. I’m curious how deep they are and if your phone will run into cups in the cup holders.
