Scout Community Package, let's make this happen!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I love this but for the die hards who have been following from day 1-ish what happens if half don’t like it. Does that mean I take an early order to be included even if I don’t want everything? I’m almost in favor of SM harvesting all our posts and suggestions and offer two vehicles. A mid/upper level road warrior and a low-mid level loaded out for off roading. Then allow a few upgrades in each to make road warrior a bit more off roady or the off-roady gets a couple lux options to bring that a bit more upscale. This basically puts two models with very limited option parts which would be used in the other vehicle anyway so all options would already be on site from the other vehicle’s “base” build
Yeah this idea really depends on how Scout packages the vehicles. If they go the Rivian route where there's very little customization then this idea is dead however the Scout website says "MAKE IT YOURS" and talks about them being customizable so I'm hopeful they don't copy/paste that model.

Using Jeep as an example you really have 2 ways of delivering this. Either a named trimline...

In my head we're talking about a package like the Popular Equipment Group. As the name implies, it's stuff customers buy anyway but with a price advantage through the bundle. Scott Keogh if you're reading this think "Summer of Audi" Edition from your old life where you take a base model car and add a $4K package of in-demand goodies that's worth maybe $5-6K if bought separately. It's really a package for people who don't want a ton of stuff but do want some kit.

Since Scout is brand new and there's no market date on what Scout customers typically buy, this is where the Scout Community steps in and helps create the bundle with them. IMO this will get them closer to customer expectations and add some street cred since they can legitimately say "here's a package that our customers helped put together."

I didn't know any let you do that.

i think l Subaru's "wilderness" badge looks especially tacky. There are plenty of other clues on it about the trim level, I think it would look better with more a subtle more subtle badge. Or no badge!
I know people take off their badges. And some manufacturers have black out badging. I’m with you. Honestly I just want it to say Scout and that’s it. Not even the model. Like my Supra. Minimal badging.

I like this as an option!
I still wish Jeep had gone into production with the 'Africa'. I was all set to order one but it never materialized.
