Okay all this talk of steel bumpers etc got me thinking. Do we want everything smooth?
My Wrangler is a special edition and it came with OEM running boards that are two fat tubes next to each other and they have a texture to them, it looks like truck bed liner. On the OEM steel back bumper there was what I called a sand paper sticker right in the middle so that when you stood on it you didn’t slip. The stupid thing kept lifting at the corners. I think I had it replaced 3 times. I finally just had my steel back bumper coated with truck bed liner to match the running boards.
So my first request is if something is going to have texture added to it so it has grip don’t make it a sticker.
And in places where you need to stand to reach the roof add some sort of texture. Or add a flip down peg when you open the door. Something to make it easy to reach the roof.
