This is an odd one but hear me out…
I think Scout should include an onboard Meshatasic module. The components to add such a system are very inexpensive and I could see it being integrated with the built in UX to enhance off-road communications in remote areas.
Sure most off-roaders carry portable radios for coms, but I’m sure the team at Scout could come up with some innovative uses. Real-time location updates could be sent allowing for viewing a group of people on a map overlay or something like that.
Meshtastic is still very much in the infant, hobbyist stage, but an open protocol that could be integrated could provide a unique addition/ innovation at little cost.
