Love bench seat, but it needs to fold down.

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Has anyone seen the front bench middle seat folded down? I’m assuming cup holders and such are part of folding it down, if not that is a huge miss IMO.

Regardless I placed a deposit see what happens. This truck looks promising.

Middle better fold down or closer to production offer buckets with a center console storage. Will be a deal breaker for me, I did place a reservation also, wait and see. Traveler has the better front seat layout.

Bench and split seats with console will both be available in BOTH vehicles. That was explained while we were at the reveal

It was never folded down that I saw. Zooming in on one of my pics it is hard to tell were it would pivot with those buttons. Could be that it's just not quite finished and operational. They mentioned a few times that it's not quite complete

The production version will be able to fold down and have cup holders and more.
It’s a tricky design. With the width, I hope Scout will be able to firmly bolster the two primary seats, and allow the center bench position to share the driver and passenger bolsters for a third dished out position. The idea of a bench is great, but will feel like a compromise for most of us that are accustomed to well-fitted single passenger bucket seats. VW SUV rear bench seats aren’t terrible in this regard, but would like to see and test the final design prior to committing to the bench option.

Totally agree, fold down bench with cupholders is the way to go.

All that will be revealed as we get closer to introducing the production models.

I want it to either fold down or have the option of not having the bench seat. I don't feel like I would use/benefit from the bench seat enough for it to be attractive to me. As well I love have wireless charging in the middle console and cup holders. I didn't see that in the Terra interior pics.

I am assuming they brought the Terra out with the bench seat to display it as an option, but if you opted for the center console setup it would look like the interior of the Traveler.

I spoke with the Chief Interior Designer at the reveal and asked this very question. The Terra, with bench seat option, will have the wireless charges in the dash itself. I didn't get a great picture of it, but it will be in this general location.
