First Responders, Military and Veterans Program

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Has anyone heard if there will be a First Responders, Military and Veterans Program? I know Volkswagen offers it but haven't seen anything from Scout Motors yet.
Sublease space in Blythewood for a Mission BBQ location that plays the National Anthem every day at 1200?

I understand Mission BBQ. I don’t understand your post?
Surely there's going to be food at Blythewood Experience Center? Mission BBQ would answer the call for a military/first-responder tie-in and probably be far better than most other random outsourced-food options.

Really just some constructive satire that happens to be a brilliant idea - plenty of fine dining space inside and even the orange color matches.

Being PA I’m a huge fan of Mission bbq because sadly it’s the most consistent we have. That said, it’s TS not NC but I would hope local SC cooks could produce better bbq and make it local rather than a chain 🤣

hmmm... SC mustard bbq vs. chain bbq? That's a bigger fight than my house's western NC vs. eastern NC bbq debates

I’m sure we are looking at programs like this. Too early to announce any details, but we fully support our veterans, active duty members and first responders.
That would be awesome.

I have access to Ford X-Plan pricing through the DAV which is pretty generous.
Would much rather prefer it to be direct from from the manufacturer.

Crossing my fingers this comes to fruition.

Ford has The Friends and Neighbors X Plan that allows Ford Motor Company employees and retirees to sponsor a wide range of friends, neighbors, family members or colleagues for a discount. Sponsors must know the buyers they are sponsoring and can assist them with the Plan process.
They used to give employees of the institute for which I was employed some discounts on Fords and Ford-owned subsidiaries because we had research contracts with Ford. I had no interest in owning a Ford and never took advantage of it, but it was probably a nice perk if you wanted a Ford (or one of the brands they had stakes in, assuming that applied). Maybe you got a less-generous salary than you’d get in private industry, but you got really generous benefits. Right now it sucks to work at any research-driven university. No job was ever truly safe from a dropped contract, but they’ve never been this precarious before. Tl;dr discounts are nice.
