Accessories: not merch or accessories that are integrated into the car, but think seat covers, etc. What do we want?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

We have a thread going for items we would like in the Scout Supply store and we have a poll and threads for things like winches, etc. but what about things that fall in between. Like seat covers, sunglass holders that mount somewhere, pet seat belts, etc.

What does everybody want?

I would like:

Integrated sunglasses holder
integrated first aid kit (it can be empty so we fill it ourselves)
seat covers that are easy to remove. For example you are going to the beach. More than just a towel thrown on the seat but not one you are underneath velcroing the thing together.
Pet accessories. Pet seat for small dogs. Something the attached to points in our Scouts to block large dogs in the back so they can’t jump in the front.

That’s just a start. I’m sure I will think of more.

Some time ago I suggested a Scout roof tarp. Could have hooks so at Xmas it hooks on top to put tree and not sap up your roof or it could be used for camping or if trailering yard debris but just a solid made scout colors tarp. May or may not work for “body work”
@Scoutsie knows what I mean-the cahoots stuff 🤣. Probably washable and integrated scent blockers in case it needs buried.

- Real plaid seat covers
- Retractable Phone Chargers that plug into the USB-c, so it’s not dangling on the floor. Even though by 2027 I’m sure most of the population will have phones that wirelessly charge, but some probably won’t

- zyn holder(im only joking, and who uses that stuff anyway. If you’re driving a Scout you should be using snuff)
- full size vanity mirror with a ring light.

So you can do your make up and podcast while driving to and from work. Love anyone who can successfully multi-task. I would like plaid too. I’m happy with SM’s effort of plaid but I bet someone with brains (already mailed the patent idea-so nobody be snaking my ideas ) makes printable plaid membrane and vinyl seat covers so you can have endless color combos to coordinate with the exterior. Also custom headliners to coordinate and then a light up cash cab style roof liner because I can

Oh, that’s a good idea, I wouldn’t mind dedicated storage for my lip glosses built into the A-panels so I can see them reflecting sunlight while I’m driving. I have some really pretty ones and what else do you do with that perfectly good vertical space? If I could stash lip glosses in there, like into little molded crevasses (more into gloss than lipstick in my middle age; these dried-out old raisin lips need all the moisture they can get), that would be so helpful. If there was a little nozzle on the dash that I could press to dispense SPF that would be great. Don’t @ me, it could also just as easily dispense mayonnaise if you’re not into sun protection.

I will be building a cargo shelf - with an extension to go over the rear seat to make a sleeping platform. I would not be opposed to get one pre-made if it was done better than I can do myself.
