  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I relate to this comment. My next SUV planned was a 2025/2026 4Runner, got excited about the iForce Max released this year. Only drawback to it was not being a plug-in Hybrid. I would love to go full EV, but have range anxiety (cold ski trips). Scout came in and checked all of boxes I want...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I would like clarification on whether this is just while towing or if it applies to all driving. I know much of this thread is about the reduction in towing capabilities, but 5000 is fine with me. What has me worried is if the performance drops significantly when the harvester is required vs...

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

This is where I need clarification. Is the 70mph steady state only applicable when towing, or is this for using harvester only when NOT towing? Only being able to go 70mph after the 150 all electric miles would be devastating.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Born in MI, but live in Chicagoland and do a lot of drives back to MI. Many are 200 mile round trips to SW MI where we don't have a good charging option at destination (would like to do these without gas). We do an annual ski trip that is 350 each way (with a good charging option at...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Took me a bit to read this thread, but lots of good perspectives and thought starters. Initial thought is that I would prefer a larger EV only range, 150 is more than enough for daily commutes, but want more for medium trips as I want to use as little gas as possible. Willing to sacrifice less...

    Rethink Steering Wheel Design?

I love everything about the interior design on the Traveler (don't spend as much time viewing the Terra) including the steering wheel as it is.

Scouting the Road Ahead With Scout Motors President and CEO Scott Keogh

Very insightful interview. The biggest surprise for me was the range breakdown of the EREV. Everything I've seen prior led me to believe that the range would be 350 electric then supplemented with 150 in gas. Totally understand why that won't be the situation with the gas tank occupying the...
