  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Gas Powered Range Extender

Well, everybody has stated in the forum that it was a generator. So I was just going off of that.
  2. ScoutEV

    Gas Powered Range Extender

It’s a generator not an engine. It will recharge batteries as you drive. So it will make some noise sure, but shouldn’t make as much noise as an engine.

    Scout Color Poll #1

cool! I have the Heritage Bronco in red and white. But I need a second vehicle. I hope Scout comes out with some other colors besides 15 shades of gray like Ford did! I don’t want another red vehicle. I was hoping for some cool hot rod colors from Scout. I put a reservation down for a scout...

Well you have 2-3 years to save up. You can do it!!!

    Reveal - No Way!!!!

Sure. I respect that. The guy wanted a vehicle smaller than the full size Bronco, so I just suggested the Bronco Sport. I guess I messed up with the sizing of the Scout Traveler. I mess up all the time in life. Sorry! I’m sure the Scout is beautiful to many. As I said earlier, it is...

    Gas Powered Range Extender

Can anyone explain to me what a “Gas Powered Range Extender” is mechanically?? So it’s not a hybrid system set up, so what is it? Thx!

    Reveal - No Way!!!!

Well goodness! I didn’t mean exactly 100%!!! And the Sashquash package gives you 35” tires, so it is taller than what you quoted above. And the 174 long is for the two door version Bronco. The 4 door (the same as the Scout Traveler), is 199 long.

    Reveal - No Way!!!!

If the Bronco is too big for you, you should check out the Bronco Sport. It’s the same size as this new Scout Traveler. EDIT: I have the full size Bronco and love it. But I need a second vehicle.

    Heritage Model

SCOUT: Please come out with a Heritage Model that looks like the gen one model. And with the top coming completely off and painted steel rims. Ford did it with their Bronco and it’s their best looking one. You would sell a lot!!!!

    Reveal - No Way!!!!

Just saw the reveal. Neither looks like the old Scouts. Kind of looks like a Rivian. The roofs don’t come off, the front grill is too skinny with black plastic, the rock guard comes up too high on the front bumper, and the body is too short and skinny. It’s the size of the Bronco Sport...
