  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

All upgraded audio systems from the manufacturer are over priced for what you get. I would also rather they include a great system with the car and skip offering a upgraded sound system. Will also cut their manufacturing costs not having to get parts/assemble multiple sound options.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I didn't know the harvester model was getting a smaller battery. Kind of makes sense because you are going to want to run that gas engine somewhat regularly also. If that is the case and the battery is 100kw smaller that is a huge difference in battery cost. Think the battery in the model 3 is...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

If you plan on towing or off-landing/ camping a lot the harvester is absolutely worth having. I will not be using mine for any of that so it is just extra maint and cost for me so I went with the regular BEV option. Will also be interesting to see how much extra they charge for the Harvester...

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

I think the easy answer to you question is Great Sound gets as close to the sound the artist intended. That being said I agree with you 100% that sound is subjective. I tend to also like more bass and when I setup my home setups I tend to bump the bass level a few DB. Other people may feel it is...

Feel the same way. Unless you plan on using it to tow heavy loads or long off roading better off not having the extra maintenance of an engine.

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

You are 100% correct. A lot of these brands made great sounding stuff at one time and then were sold off and now are just a name that makes junk. I would rather Scout doesn't have a brand name and just puts in good well tuned components. Tesla kind of does this although I don't feel their...

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

Most of the factory car audio stuff is made by Harmon which is now owned by Samsung. Harmon Kardon, JBL, Lexicon,AKG, Mark Levenson are all owned by Samsung. Bose recently bought McIntosh so guessing we will see more cars with McIntosh branded audio. Point is it is hard to say I want X brand...

    Scout Color Poll #1

These would look really sick with some retro colors to make them really stand out. SO tired of the usual white, silver, black colors we see on pretty much every car on the road now.

    Electrochromatic Panoramic Sunroof?

Hoping they decide to go with a glass sunroof that opens that has a typical shade. The canvus roof looks cool but would get really cold in the area I live in during the winter. Really want a roof that opens though. Not many EVs out now that have sun roofs that actually open.

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

With Scout being owned by the VW group it would be nice to see Burmester as a option like they have on Porsche models. Really hoping they put in a good sound system though. A really important part of the car for me.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Did the same but reserved the Traveler and also looking at the R1S. Interested in the new Macan EV also. Had a R2 reservation but canceled that and switched it to the Scout figuring if I went with Rivian I would go for the R1S over the R2.
