  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Motors at CES 2025

Awesome video! Nicole with UI did a great job. I see a lot of the key features folks are asking for on this forum. Really cool stuff.

Enough space for two mountain bikes inside Traveler with seats down

I rented a dodge caravan for a trip two years ago. The materials were flimsy (a piece of window molding blew off on the highway). However, I agree about space utilization. The inside was cavernous and very flexible for hauling people or gear.

    Camp mode

I think I see “level” on one of the UI buttons. That would be sweet if this beast would self level for car top tents or sleeping inside the vehicle.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I like this idea. I’m thinking that a front bench seat in a traveler should be made capable of folding flat and aligning to rear fold flat seats. In essence, it would form a slightly narrow queen size bed (or oversized double). With the funk and rear, you would have enough room for luggage, a...

What a Scout Traveler would replace

A Honda Pilot, which was a replacement for my 4Runner. Before the 4Runner I had a Subaru wagon. The Honda worked better for a growing family…but definitely not as reliable as the Toyota. The Pilot is underpowered and the brakes suck. It’s okay for family interstate trips to see the world or...

    Suggestion: Autonomous Driving Mode

Full self driving is a joke at this point in time. I see Waymo and other self driving cars messing up the flow of traffic in the Bay Area all the time. I wouldn’t want to pay early adoption cost for that technology in the Scout vehicles. I think such options should be reserved for the luxury...

    Front seat configuration

It would be great to see this in the traveler as well. Bench seats that fold flat to adjoin the rear bench seats forming an overnight bed for two would be awesome. Then you can skip on the rooftop tent or take a snooze while recharging.

Integrated Racks into rear spare tire

I would like this as well. Especially if the swing arm was robust enough to handle multiple bikes (family) to be mounted and swung outward to allow access to the cargo area.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Why not power the generator with eco-diesel to maximize range and efficiency? Also, I’m hoping the harvester can run when the vehicle is unattended to recharge the batteries while setting up camp, hiking, or grabbing food. Could the generator run while simultaneously charging to accelerate...
