  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

The mix of screen and real knobs, switches and toggles. I still have to flesh it out and drive it and make sure it meets my needs. We’ll see.

    Harvester towing

I’m being facetious. I wish the Harvester didn’t ‘de-rate’ towing on the Terra from 10,000 lbs.

    Harvester towing

I imagine tongue weight doesn’t change. I’d hate to push a 7,000 lb tow rating out of warranty for 8,200 lbs!

    Harvester towing

I think we need more towing. Tongue weight for what I want to tow is 820 lbs. Gross weight loaded is 8,300 lbs.

    Harvester towing

I’d say it needs to be 7,500 lbs min. 10,000 was looking perfect.

    Scout Deal Breakers

Same! No Head Up Display in two years is a problem. Need functions via knobs and switches while underway. I have an R2 on order but may cancel. Need a sunshade for the Pano. Rear Wiper blade Tow Rating of 7,500 at least. 9,000 lbs would be perfect. Range at least a real 250 miles EV before...

Another thread mention the Terra was on display at the Columbia Firefly stadium in / near Columbia. Minor league baseball team. Just yesterday.

South Carolina Scouts! Your voice is heard: Direct sales bill gets a hearing on Wednesday!

This example is why I want to get away from using dealerships at all.

    Re-think Headlight Design

Agree. Heated housing? washers? Wipers? I just realized today I have headlight housing washers on my Q5 PHEV. It's really my Wife's car but we were out today and I have to have my wife use the washers/wipers while I see them clean the headlight housing. I presume its automatic with using...

Scout Connection Center Columbia, South Carolina

As far as I know, you can only drive out to Blythewood, Where I used to live, up 77 about 20 -30 minutes north of the outskirts of Columbia and see the factory under construction from the highway.

Cameras Scout has shown bring up questions

Hello All, Scout at CES showed an under carriage camera feed like this while underway at the 14:40 minute mark: At time 14:40 minutes in the video. While I know its a prototype, as stated in the video by Dre, it brings up several questions: 1. What is the resolution? It looks good in the...

    Customizable remainders/warnings

We have a PHEV Q5. Only 27 miles range if we’re lucky or my lead foot wife is driving. What I wish is you could set a speed at which a PHEV or EREV switches to electric only or gas (generator or PHEV) power only. We like using the efficient electric motor at low speeds around town and the gas...

It would keep the excitement going to see it!

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Out of curiosity, based on how this is written, what other Slavic language do you speak (shot in the dark?). My wife is Croatian and the language patterns in English you use are similar to my relatives when they speak English. Makes me curious if you speak another language?

Those are some tiny font letters and numbers!

    Adventure Key - NFC wristband

I think this is a good solution. Hope it deactivates ‘phone as a key’ so that the phone can be locked in the vehicle too. Of course, you can always turn off the phone.

    Adventure Key - NFC wristband

Can’t Scout just put a keypad external to the B pillar and we can type in a code? Worked on my 1995 Explorer for 15 years.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I like mine in my Audi Q5 PHEV and A5 Cab.
