  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

1,000+ reservations take rate stats: Harvester vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

It’s not really that surprising that the Traveler reservation % is way higher than the Terra as the Terra is too similar to the Rivian R1T to me besides the price being much more cheaper. I am also not surprised people want the Harvester option more than all EV option as the #1 issue that deters...

What a Scout Traveler would replace

I was considering trading in my current 2022 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige for the refreshed 2026 model as I really love this vehicle and the brand and compared to the competition, it’s the perfect crossover SUV. But when I saw the Scout Traveler revealed, I instantly fell in love and made a...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I reserved the Traveler w/ Harvester. I think this is the perfect EV and what all EVs should be like because range anxiety is a real concern for a lot of people including myself and is what has kept me away from purchasing one until now. I can’t wait to spec it out.

    Basic or All Decked Out?

I am definitely an all luxury, fully loaded, give me all the options that I can get but for a reasonable price but I also want athleticism and power too. Some people like super sporty vehicles that can zip and race all over town but sacrifice comfort. Some like luxurious floaty cars that are...

    Move Harvester generator to frunk

I personally like the frunk because the more storage I can get, I will take. With that said, I think Scout should actually look into an engine similar to the e-REX by INNengine. It’s half the size of a an electric motor, lighter than your typical engine, more powerful than a 4 stroke, super...

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I don’t think a lot of you commenting in this thread realize what the Harvester generator actually does. The Harvester is going to be a compact engine who’s sole purpose is to recharge the battery probably via an alternator. It would kick in when the battery is at a certain percentage, hence...

    Current and future features

You have to keep in mind that Scout is trying to keep this vehicle affordable for the average consumer. Some of these items that can’t easily be integrated via software like 3rd row w/ co-captain seats, crab crawl mode, and window blinds mode on all the windows which would require...

    Basic or All Decked Out?

I actually like what the Scout has to offer so far. It’s literally “The Perfect Car”. This is what I have been looking for, for a long time now.

    Easily Removable generator/range extender

The generator in a EREV vehicles is not the same as a simple portable generator that you would have around the house. The generator in a EREV vehicle would actually be a small 2 or 4 stroke engine that is fed by gasoline like any other ICE engine. Removing the engine would be complicated to...

    Seattle Scouts

Thanks for making this group. Checking in from Spokane and reserved a Scout Traveler with the Harvester.

    Want to Know

I am assuming like with the Rivian R2, they will have certain locations around the US that they will display the 2 Scouts for the public to check out but as far as testing one out, I am not sure. Probably would be able to more closely to when they will start fulfilling orders.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

✅ Add rear bumper corner built-in steps to allow access to stepping up into the truck bed, similar to the Chevrolet Silverado/Colorado. I agree that there should be steps built into the tailgate for the Terra so help people especially like me with 2 bad knees to better have access into the truck...

Blind Spot Turn Signal Camera Displayed in Instrument Cluster

Hello, I am so excited for the NEW Scout Traveler (w/ the Harvester for my preference). I would like to make one suggestion which I am sure can be implemented via software at initial launch or future update. I think it would be helpful if Scout vehicles had Blind Spot Turn Signal Cameras that...

    Rearview Camera Monitor

I agree with this post. I would love to have a rear view in mirror camera. I hope that they would implement this.

    Decoding Reservation Numbers

2694825476 ACTIVE Model Traveler Energy system Electric + Gas Date October 28, 2024 The reservation numbers don’t really seem to make sense to me as far as placement in line. They only thing that makes sense would be date and time reservation was placed?

Traveler spare tire carrier - other locations?

I agree with this post. I am in love with the Scout Traveler and placed my reservation right away as soon as I found out about it. I am glad that there is a clam shell rear tailgate but the one thing that I hope that can be optioned is to delete the rear spare tire mount so that accessing the...
