  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Adventure Key - NFC wristband

Have this for my R1T and its pretty awesome. The only issue with the one Rivian designed that its not as secure as Id like it to be. If you're going to be on an adventure, that could mean you're out in the middle of nowhere and the last thing you want is for that wristband to fall off. If Scout...

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

Found this on Scout's website: https://support.scoutmotors.com/en/articles/10034786-where-will-i-be-able-to-service-a-scout-vehicle This article interviewing Ryan Decker also sheds some light on their approach to repairability which sounds good (even took a shot at rivals)...

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

I've seen comments and feedback about this in various posts but wanted to start a separate thread to consolidate the discussion. I currently own and R1T and its an amazing vehicle. There are two main drawbacks for me with this vehicle. Its not great for road tripping because of the charge...

    Forum Migration to new servers

@Jamie@ScoutMotors FYI, I was checking on "Your content" in my profile and that doesn't seem to be working. Actually, the entire search feature is not working. Not sure if its system-wide or an anomaly but wanted to let you know. Screenshot of message I got below both for trying to access...

    Pop open rearmost window

I'd definitely like to see this. Even more than this though, I'd like to see the rear window flip open like in the Toyota Highlander. Very useful.

Rear Window - Flip Up Option

Since the Traveler will have a split gate, its likely a roll-down rear window won't work. So, what I'd really like to see is the rear window be able to flip up like in the Toyota Land Cruiser and Highlander. Super useful. Someone already suggested the rear side windows popping open. Would be...

How will the scouts handle the extreme cold?

while i can appreciate your specific use case of extreme cold, most owners will not be in that situation so i dont expect to see anything extraordinary for cold weather extremes. it also wouldn't be cost effective for them to do so. if they can add in heated wipers and a way to auto...

Porsche And Audi Plan US Production To Avoid Tariffs, Audi May Get Spinoff Scout SUV: Codenamed - Hardcore

I hope this is not the case even in 2028. Its hard enough to start a new car company, you don't want any distractions or spreading resources thin. Another lesson Scout can learn from Rivian trying to launch the R1T, R1S and electric delivery van.

    Keep the weight down please

I'm sure they are cognizant of keeping the weight down. However, aluminum isn't as favored as steel in the offroad community since steel is so much easier to work with and repair. So we'll see what they go with. I also suspect the Harvester option may be lighter than the battery-only...
