  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

I’m 6’8” and 210lbs, don’t take my head room and leg room away!

New Scout Video: Forging The Future - Design by Detail

Give us this on 37’s (35’s would be ok too) with the Harvester setup and the ability to tow 8,000lbs, and you’ll have the first Ram TRX owner switch to an EV vehicle.

(Planned) Route 66 Centennial Road Trip (Ended up being Great Lakes/Niagara Falls Trip)

So 45ish minutes as an average. Thank you for sharing.

(Planned) Route 66 Centennial Road Trip (Ended up being Great Lakes/Niagara Falls Trip)

Just curious in a leg like this with three stops, roughly how long is each charging stop?

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I personally believe that Scout will succeed and produce quality vehicles.

Drivers not happy with their car screens

Ford got their 12” screen right. A good mix of screen and hard buttons.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

If that’s the case, Scout could fail. With 80% or more of the reservation being for a Harvester, Scout has to deliver with this setup. Only time will tell for sure. I wait patiently and optimistically to see what Scout can deliver, and hopefully to its customers by late 2027 or early 2028.

    Rechargeable Key Fob

I’m trying to remember the last time I replaced a battery on a car key-fob. I’m not saying a rechargeable fob is a bad idea, but I’m not sure it’s a huge need.

So if there are three trim levels: - Good - Gooder - Goodest

    Please no erev!

And I fully admit I’m a stubborn hold out that doesn’t want to have to wait a longer time to charge than get fuel. We regularly take trips over 500 miles in a day, and adding the charge time just isn’t worth it to me. Hence why the Harvester continues to be a good option for the stubborn...

A gas stop is less than 5 minutes. A charge is how long? Also- is that map routed the same trip I took, or is the light grey a detour to charge?

    Please no erev!

I agree with @Gottesacker that having more range is nice. My last truck would go 500 miles on a single tank when on the highway, and I do miss that. My current truck is closer to 350 miles (I made 400 miles once, but that was really stretching it and at a much slower speed). 500 miles while...

    Please no erev!

Last year I did the following trip (it’s in another thread somewhere). The EV Scout could have never done this loop without a significant detour. It’s reasons like this that my reservation is for a Harvester. EV lifestyle when I want it, and gas when I need it. 85% or so of other reservation...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

220 miles of range- I guess it’s another “Jeep Thing” I don’t understand.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Jeep recently allowed folks to build their own fully EV Jeep Recon. It didn’t take long to get north of $75,000. I’m hopping Scout can avoid this! https://www.jeep.com/bmo.recon.html#/build/exterior/59802/CUJ202622EJXH74A/2TE/APA,PL4,T7,ELD,DCC,Z1F,TKH,WBB,A5,SDJ,UBW,GWH,23E

    Reservation order

Honestly, 2028 is just fine with me. I’d rather Scout get this right then rush to market and have issues. I know others want their vehicle tomorrow, but I’ll wait.

    Reservation order

That’s me too. I figure it will be 2028 before a Scout makes it to my driveway.

    Cross Shopping

What’s the budget for the new car? There’s lots of options out there besides what you’ve listed. A rough price range could open up some other suggestions.

First Time EV Owner: Live experience report

I’m sorry to hear about your mother in law. My dad has been fighting Stage 4 Bile Duct Cancer for three years now. They originally gave him a year, but the tough old bastard keeps fighting. Prayers to you and your family!
