  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Well it is somewhat proven so not a bad idea!

Scout Dimensions Updated On Our Website

As far as I recall, anything behind the vehicle will affect drag, therefore it all matters.

Does Terra and Traveler has the same wheel base?

Good point. It make me more hopeful of a better execution with the Terra platform.

1,000+ reservations take rate stats: Harvester vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

Disagree with your Terra POV. Lightning is an ICE brands version of what they think an EV should be. Its so far off the mark. Building a ground up EV allows to do rethink everything. Lets hope this isnt just another F150 because if it is, its dead in the water.

    Suspension Speculation

Love this. Complicated mind you. Part of me just wants a set of Kings on it and call it a day. The other wants an e-click approach. Kings are AMAZING but kind of sucky on the road. This is good on both but complex. Hmmm . . . .

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

My money is on a 200 mile range battery. Assume base battery is 250. Less than that and it will be a problem in 2027. If a Mini BEV can get that range today, a 2027 truck should be able to also, RE or not.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Yeah good point. I've been thinking the same and kind of on the fence for this reason. I guess we will have to see. Im hoping! Thanks for the info on the engine capacity! Thats good to know.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

    Ahhh, yes, 100%!

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

But think that through, assuming you are driving at 2kw/mile at 70mph, you need 140kw from the engine. The RAMcharger with a V6 gets close but that takes up the engine bay and is too big.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

No, because thats how a PHEV works. This isnt that. The boxer engine (or whatever they use) will create maybe 130hp, not enough to propel a 7000lb vehicle. So its just topping up the battery, but the battery is the power and that cant drop too low or it will damage the battery over time. So...

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

The harvestor is unlikley to be powerful enough to generate enough energy to perpetually keep your SOC. So I'm assuming it will kick in at 25% battery left?
  12. Noplacelikeloam

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

No, it was said that the generator will kick in at 150 miles. Meaning you would have at least another 50+ miles of battery. Its not going to kick in at battery level 0.
