  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

List ONE thing you are most ? THANKFUL ? to see that Scout Motors incorporated

There really are too many things to pick specifically, so my random pick is the drop-down rear window on the Terra. I don't care about removable roof and all that, but I'll definitely enjoy the local beach weather with ALL the windows down (while sitting on a bench seat w/ lots of leg room...

More lift, less lift, or just right.

I don't know the nuances of air spring adaptive dampeners, but it would be nice if they built the baseline from the factory to account for the tire size (or even better if you can adjust yourself). That way, when it lowers for speed it considers the travel of 35's, but then raises when you...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

I thought the same thing. I would have said Central Coast as my first impression w/ the oaks, flora, and possibly some coastal fog. Thanks for the pictures!

    Basic or All Decked Out?

I've thought I wanted my next vehicle to be full luxury until I started to price them out - then I wind-up back at basic trim levels with some niceties. I do realize the importance of marriage-saving dual climate control... so I won't ever go lower than that trim lol. I used to enjoy adding...

    Suspension Speculation

Just having feedback like this on a forum makes me like the brand even more. Thank you for the window into the company's discussions- it sells me even more.

[Terra] Double cab with a 6.5' bed

I know, I felt like I was in the minority when I was happy it wasn't a small truck on reveal day. I was excited when I saw it had a longer wheelbase than my current 1/2 ton. In fact, I even gravitated towards the Terra to check more utility boxes (now I can add towing when I was originally...

Payload and towing with harvester range extender on a Traveler

I can't imagine them mentioning "towing" as one of the first words on the Terra's webpage and not offer integrated brake controller and receiver (at least as factory options) in a such a modern truck, so I'll join the crew of people hoping that's the case! I also saw air springs as an option...

Jerry Cans + Harvester Range Extender

This seems right. I was also interested in the Ramcharger - my limited understanding is that it will have a V6 that generates mechanical power, which is converted to electrical power by its generator. That generator increases the power to the motor and gearbox when needed. We know we're not...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

A couple great points here- I hate the lane departure settings that turn the wheel for you- I'm sorry, but my Camry (that has that feature) is not smarter than me (or is it) lol. I've backed-up a lot coming into campgrounds at night, and focused lighting sure would improve the "wife waving a...

Wish I could sleep till 2027!

Timing will be perfect for me since I plan on passing my 04 Titan to my son around that time. I can't wait for him to drive himself around (seems like a full-time job w/ sports and social life) OR for me to drive my new Terra.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I saw this on Reddit, so looks like roof rack is a go, along with cool steel bumper.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

That's a great idea for the lights. I have to basically start everything pre-dawn to make it work in my life, so lighting would be helpful. These days I surf more than I ride, but I still try hitting the trails 1-2 times per week. When the surf report sucks, I'll swap the two and ride more...

What are you driving until release?

2004 Nissan Titan -driven AM daily to the beach or the trails, but usually back home before work to save the $20 per round-trip commute lol. It also pulls our travel trailer 1-2 times/month, and w/ 6" lift and 35's, it handles any offroad activities I venture into. 2020 Toyota Camry -strictly a...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

From what I can tell the Scouts have rubber flooring (which I love), but I haven't seen seat material specs. I'd love to see a water resistant seating option in MGV (like the Bronco) or neoprene from the factory. I have neoprene covers on my truck, but it's just not the same as OEM options...

List Your 10 Favorite Things About the New Scouts

In no particular order: 1) Clean design 2) Suspension seems conducive (double wishbone, etc.) to aftermarket upgrades and the solid rear could be a good thing depending how it's executed. 3) Harvester option 4) 10K tow rating along w/ 1000lb ft torq 5) Lockers, sway bar disconnect, and 35's...
