  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Onboard air compressor

Agreed, they need to have onboard air compressor as a option. When I got my Bronco it had been a few years since I had delved into the offroad hobby and quickly learned not having one was a huge deficit/pain. If folks truly want to take this vehicle offroad, airing down is one of the main...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I think Scout can build this vehicle with all the cool new tech AND with hard touch points/buttons. Actually, they really need to do this as about all surveys I have seen are against the Tesla approach, at least they are now. And believe me, our daily EV (Mach E) fell into that Tesla design...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Hmm, I might be rare on this one but I do hope it has the option of self driving. After experiencing Blue Cruise in my Mach E for the past 3 years I have been very impressed on how Ford has integrated it into regular driving, which is probably the most important aspect of it as you have to...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Very well said. I like how you wrapped up the end of that 2nd paragraph as I have been trying to find similar type "catch phrases" for what they call elevator speech (something I was taught at my old company if I ever got in an elevator with a VIP and had the time of the elevator ride to make...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I just posted this to a similar question on the other popular forum, so will give my two cents on this topic. Technically I have owned both BEV and EREVish tech; specifically a Mach‑E GT for three years and a 1st Gen Chevy Volt for eleven. With the Scout BEV offering nearly 100 miles more...

Local Day 1 Reservation Holder Also Interested in Product Testing

Right, man I was wondering how he made this image so quickly. Yeah good ole AI!

Local Day 1 Reservation Holder Also Interested in Product Testing

Great info, and thanks for the quick reply. Your right, I understand better now how a ton of folks are wanting to be early testers. I mean after all its rare for an iconic vehicle to come back with both a nostalgic look with cutting‑edge tech. That’s a big part of what makes this whole thing so...

Local Day 1 Reservation Holder Also Interested in Product Testing

Sorry to hear your Bronco delivery experience went sour. Mine ended up being the opposite, but I also went with a smaller local dealership that wasn’t juggling hundreds of reservations. I briefly tried one of those online volume dealers (that one in Iowa...), but bailed after a couple of days...

Local Day 1 Reservation Holder Also Interested in Product Testing

By the way, I ended up switching my reservation on the Scout site from the range‑extender to the full EV. I’ve gone back and forth on this for the past year, but our Mach‑E GT, and even our earlier Volt experience, pushed me toward the EV. The Mach‑E has needed basically no maintenance in 60K...

Local Day 1 Reservation Holder Also Interested in Product Testing

Appreciate the perspective. You’re right — I haven’t been super active here since the early reveal. A big part of that is simply because I’ve been deeply involved in the Bronco and Mach‑E communities (and before that, the Volt crowd), so a lot of my energy has been tied up in following and...

Local Day 1 Reservation Holder Also Interested in Product Testing

I’m a lifelong North Carolinian living just minutes from Scout’s new Charlotte headquarters and about an hour from the Blythewood production plant. As an early reservation holder for the SUV, locked in within the first hour of the October 24 reveal, I’m incredibly excited about what Scout is...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Nice, we have something in common as I also own a Mach E (2023 GT Performance Edition) and will be glad to assist with any questions for folks new to the EV world or those that are still on the fence about getting one (like this nice Scout). A little about my background and why I have a Scout...

    What did you reserve?

Ha me too, although I wouldn't have very far to drive since I live in Charlotte NC. Guess that's a no brainer since we don't have to worry about stealerships lol.

    What did you reserve?

I got the impression it would be like my previous Gen 1 Volt, which is good and bad. Has all the advantages of a Gas car but also all the disadvantages. I selected the extender more for resale as I can see all these EV naysayers only being comfortable getting in one that offers a gas...

    What did you reserve?

NM, just found it.... Now to decide. I guess you can change to a truck or SUV later and with or without the extender.

    What did you reserve?

I still cant figure out how to reserve one. Can someone please share a link etc.
