  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

Repair and modifying a EV is way easier than a Gas vehicle. Especially when the vehicle is being made to be customized and repaired by the owner like Scout. But if people want to bring their Scouts in for Service then i see no problem with going with the Dealership Franchise model. Service...

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

To me the 20 percent would be electric components and powertrain. The 80% self repair in fields or driveways would be everything else. Tires, brakes, suspension, interior, body panels. All simple things that can be done in the drive way. If you have to call someone to do that stuff sadly thats a...

Is that good or bad? Not like I’m being affected by it. I’m more interested in what the 80% includes.

From what I’ve found there’s no cap on engine size or displacement. It says it’s based off of its certification. But I could be wrong.

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

Probably basic mechanic/homeowner. It’s not like scout will lose much money, as long as they make it be that parts are ordered through them. And technicians will almost always be need for electrical issues and recalls.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Luckily BMW will be making their 800v battery in house. And I'm sure they will figure out a supplier for now. Maybe we see PowerCo start to pick ip the pace with factory construction.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Welcome It’s been stated by CEO Scott that Removable Tops are noisy. And that they are leaky by the community. Thats why both vehicles will offer the cabana top as an option. At the moment it seems that removable tops aren’t the future of Scout until those issues are fixed.

“Well, the number we put out there was that over 80% of repair orders are capable in fields.
That means in a customer’s driveway or literally in fields,” Decker said. “Philosophically, forget the facts, forget what specific orders—we want these to be vehicles that customers can touch and take...

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Megan Moroney, Ella Langley. We need a real country artist to sing it. Non of that fake rock country stuff. Or we can see maybe Hank Williams Jr. wants to come out of retirement for it lol.

Maybe Scout can make me a cactus leather 3 point hat. Or a raccoon hat lined with the cactus leather with a nice scout badge on it.
