  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

If you don't know 1 pedal is the correct answer you just don't know. Me BEV is in the body shop. Having to row gears and brake on the truck this week. Lame, sure I have some nice pipes but uggg with the pedal and shifter work.

    Living with EV

We have a 21' Job 1 MachE Bought in February or 21 that replaced our 06 Mustang and a 22 MachE that replaced our Explorer. Daily use is better than any ICE we have owned as I installed my own Level 2 charger and only pay 13 pennies a KW. The best part is just park an plug in and in the...

1,000+ reservations take rate stats: Harvester vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

Agree, I see little need for it. In a decade or so there will be a bunch of cheap low range used EVs for sale with a auxiliary generator that cost more to fix than it is worth. Just my opinion, I can see a very low percentage were a Harvester would be useful. Have to say range for towing...

    Audible pedestrian warning noise

Clacking of metal treads on pavement or something close to a IH combine.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Keypad under the charge cover or on the door and no key start password, I can lock my fob inside the car (esd bag) when I go camping or to the beach. Great feature on MachE.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

This, I got rear ended 2 weeks ago, hit and run and did not get the Jeeps plate. Would love having active cameras on my MachE, they are there but do mostly nothing. Nice If I could plug in a USB and record. Oh, and my new hatch and bumper, $8k minimum. Wish I had that plate so I could...

Swore I’d never buy an EV, then Scout happened

I love the idea of the range extender model. I may mean that folks will pay a premium to get it and maybe thus subsidize the BEV only version. As I want the BEV I love the concept of a gas option as it will drive up sales and success of the brand would be good. My guess 240mile LFP BEV...

Would you be more inclined to purchase if...

Well, oddly enough I am a bit of a gearhead. Pulled the 287 out of Granddads 62' Chevy truck and put a 350 on with a 4 barrel Everbroke and some nice pipes. Even rebuilt the front end to have Willwood disks and power brakes. That said, never going to buy another new gasser, I like having...

    Converting from J1772 to NACS

I have bunches of converters, level 2 and 3. Currently have a Emporia J1772 level 2 on my wall. I believe you can just get a replacement vehicle cable. My Emporia (and the Grizzl-E it replaced) are designed to be cracked open to enable hard wiring for 48amps. The car cables just screw...

Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

I would be down for this, Factory tours and photos of individual builds would be nice also. Could geek out on that.

Please, No Free Fast Charging Credits

Last fall I was driving from Tennessee to Florida thru Columbia SC. I will be damned if the Columbia Electrify America had only one working charger stall and 5 cars (3 being local plates) waiting to use them. My guess is those 3 had free credits and would sit there until they hit 100%...

    Decoding Reservation Numbers

Personally I am keeping my disappointed face to myself until we get build and price..... Then all bets are off

    TFL Reveal walk around videos.

Pretty good walk arounds with frunk action and bench seat. This one pushed me to reserve this morning. Assume I can get a bench in the Traveler.

    Decoding Reservation Numbers

4715542336, Reserved Electric only Traveler at 6:40am this morning but used my forum account email address. Surely everyone saw the email yesterday that forum members will be bumped ahead in line. I wonder how much build order will be influenced by commodities.. Ordered a Bronco a few...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

So I reserved the Traveler. Looking forward to build and price.
  16. Garbone

    What did you reserve?

Traveler all electric reserved. I am concerned about the size and my narrow driveway but we will see what can be had.

    Realistic range concerns.

I think a higher voltage pack with better charge rates is more desirable than overall range. I would take a 250mile pack that charges faster than a 320 mile pack that is slow. Example being we had a funeral to attend last Thursday in Ohio with 36hours notice of the actual service time. Math...

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

Yes, hand cranks like the base jeep or electric like the Bronco.... Yes, he mentioned regulators so I am thinking hand crank may be a thing..

    Frunk Focus

We currently use our 21 MachE for camping. Tent and such goes in a dry bag on a platform attached to the receiver hitch. Food and cloths in the rear hatch and then there is the Frunk. I love our frunk just for camping. I keep our ThermaCELL, lanterns, tent fan, small broom, ground tarp...

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

Keypad inside the charge port door to enable locking the keys/FOB in the cab or frunk even with the doors off. A decent Frunk one could lock their stuff in when surfing, swimming camping would be great. I could see my scout having a Bimini top and no doors so this really needs to be a thing. A...
