  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

1,000+ reservations take rate stats: Harvester vs. Full-EV and Traveler vs. Terra

At best an engine and part of a battery are equal but there is more to it. The electrical engineering and hardware intigration of onboard ICE, generator and charging system will not be minimal. The EV to Harvester ratio is not that surprising to me. The first movers here are legacy Scout fans...

    Removable Doors

The off-road community kind of just does what they want. Those that want to remove their doors are going to remove their doors.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

And if I may add one more thing to your one more thing in the form of a question to Scout? If a Harvester could run its onboard generator to charge itself while parked… could it also be used to charge a Scout EV sitting next to it??? A lot of camping happens out on the trails. These downtimes...

    Decoding Reservation Numbers

#194628905X. Traveler EV Placed 10.24.24, 3:33 pm before the reveal ended. Also, when I ordered our Leaf 15 years ago, your location in the country mattered. Not every state was allowed to convert a reservation to an order or even got 1st year models. I suspect that was an “exotic EV” thing...

    What did you reserve?

Yes. We went round and round on this in the 09/10 forums regarding the Leaf vs Volt (EV vs hybrid). IMHO the Harvester is a very nice option if you do a lot of highway miles, towing or both. Speed and or load has a big impact on battery consumption. But Where speeds are typically much slower...

    What did you reserve?

Traveler EV. Reservation placed before the reveal was even finished. Loved the satin blue and wheels on the Terra. Hope they find their way to the Traveler. Looks like Ford is not getting my money and I will be hanging onto the Atlas for a few more years.

    Front Bench Seat

The “arm over the shoulders of your significant other” seat option is wonderful. Glad to see it.

Say hello to the new Scout® Terra™ Truck and Scout® Traveler™ SUV

They look absolutely epic! The Traveler (EV) was exactly what I was hoping to see. Reservation placed the moment they opened. Honestly, you had me at; Pure EV 35’s (+?) Body on Frame Solid Rear Axle Front and Rear Lockers Swaybar Disconnects 7000lb Towing I really loved the color and...

Scout CEO says he'll have real buttons

I like the design commitment of buttons and switches. Driving is a physical activity and the clicks and zips of buttons and dials contributes to this pleasure. Touch screens are useful IF you need an EDITABLE placeholder for functions you need to change and update. Screens are now vital if...

    Scout Design Ideas

I know by now the exterior design is locked in as the Scout SUV is to be shown this summer. BUT I am hoping it has the simple exterior of the original Scouts but with a dash of the current Land Rover Defender.
