  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Make it run on low octane (aka cheaper gas)

I would assume that since it’s naturally aspirated, it’s likely to only require 87 octane. I know there are examples of NA engine that need premium. But, usually those are higher compression performance engines.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I’m not familiar with the elevation changes in that part of the country. But, don’t forget that downhill you regain quite a bit of energy.

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

While I have so many epic, badass songs that I dream about being the first song it’s likely going to be whatever pop nonsense is on Hits 1 on Sirius that my kids like.

    Potential completion - Telo

If Canoo couldn’t make it, I doubt this one will either. Personally, some of these companies have great ideas, but too much hubris. They should sell their patents and IP to a brand that can make it happen and move on.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Sure is. Long time Mopar fan. Not much to get excited about in a very long time.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I have daily driven EVs since 2019. So, firmly in the EV camp. But, I also still enjoy my ICE Jeeps and a BMW e30. My point is that two things at once is ok. The world fleet will have to continue to ween off fossil fuels. For some sectors that can happen faster than others. For example, I...

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

That may be an option. I really hope they keep the perforated black lights, but I could see that going away for the production model.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

This has gotten me thinking. I do not want or intend to get the tire carrier. But….. I would like the option to install it later. I wonder if they intend to have the tire carrier a stand alone accessory that could be purchased later and owner installed?

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I didn’t notice how the hinges attach. I wonder if they could be removable as well.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

    Edited per your suggestion

    Puddle light projection design

I would go for just reddish orange light that has the classic Scout profile of the rear quarter window. That would be a subtly cool thing.

    Puddle light projection design

Reddish orange would be cool. Maybe the Harvester “combine in the field” pattern from the fuel door would be cool.

Luxury features I would like to See

I would probably check all those options too.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Building it in the USA could be changed relatively easily. However, even if the engine got hit with a tariff, it would probably still be cheaper than setting up stateside production. If it does come from Europe, does that make this an International vehicle????

Agreed. Sounds like there is a draw somewhere.
